IMO the 24-105 is great on any camera you can put it on.Its focal range will be more like a 38-168 ,but it works well on a APS-c sensor camera.

i recently got my 60D with kit lens 18-55
i can afford one lens , 24-105mm is Ok ? because its expensive and i dnt wanna take any risk on my own .
Any suggestions from any pro photographer will help me alott thanks

I have a 600d and a 5d. I had the 15-85 on my 600d before I switched to full frame. That worked realy well. Its abiut the same as the 24-105 on my 5d

It is a great lens for sure but also depends what you are shooting. If you can, to cover all your bases, go with the 24-105 and 100-400. There isn't much that would escape those those 2.

I have this lens on my 5D 2 and love it. When I had the Rebel T1i, I used the 15mm-85mm and loved it. Either lens will work great for you. Their performance is about equal, as well as the results.

My suggestion to you would be, take your kit lens, set the focal length to about 24mm and see if you like that. That would be the widest you could shoot with the 24-105. If you don't think it is wide enough, go with the 15-85mm. But if you are content with that focal length, the 24-105mm will give you a longer reach. So decide of those two factors what is the most important to you - width or reach

i can see that its a perfect lens for full frame .
i just want to make it sure that is it good with 60D cuz its not a full frame .
and is there any other afford able lens which can replace it having that much zoom
and have a result like 24-105 .
