Lots of people are asking about the different in IQ and sharpness between the 16-35 f/2.8 L MKII and the 24-105mm f/4.0 L. They are of course very different lenses, but comparing my 2 pieces of glass, the 16-35 MKII has better contrast, colour, IQ and sharpness than the 24-105. Here's a shot I took last week of the Tokyo Tower in Japan with the 16-35 MKII.

For a wide angle lens, it's amazingly sharp. I hope this answers all your questions.

So many times I want to sell this lens but have not. It's so versatile and performs so well for the price point, it's just kinda hard to let go.

Just got this lens. It does very nicely with moving subjects. This is my dog, enjoying the snow.

Lucas, I really like the aquarium shots! Very nice.

And dingo5, that 2nd shot of the tower has absolutely magical light.

Thank you! That was my first real day out with both this lens and my 6D, I'm loving both :)

S**t myself last night when i went outside, to feed the dog and saw this owl!
Quickly went back inside, grabbed the 6D and shot this in Auto mode.

^That's awesome! I've only ever seen an owl in the wild twice, I think both were Great Horned Owl's though. They're such mystical birds, I'd love to photograph one! Totally jealous...

Thanks Lucas/Vinz.
Our home has become a Zoo of late - constant possums on the roof, the early morning wake up calls by the kookaburras and those screeching rosellas flying around!
Must find a kangaroo now for you guys.

Great shot but there seems to be a significant chromatic aberration around the statue.
