I remember reading in a guy's sig who has this lens (and again wrote in a thread) about how boring it is... he has a bunch of L primes and 24-70 f/2.8 etc

whatever. Bored with a lens or just bored? If razor DOF is only how you get your kicks... whatever.

i would hope so. it looks like that was taken in-flight. if im not mistaken FFA doesn't allow other than the flight crew to be in the cockpit for security reasons.

Any post processing requirement to get those stars look like stars (lol if that make sense)?

Here's one from a recent shoot. the 24-105 range, coupled with IS makes it the ideal lens for this kind of stuff, and makes getting images like this without a gyro possible.
