Immaculens creeped by the TF.... More info | I use f/4 if my shot calls for it, as its been sharp enough for me... could likely count on one hand how many shots have been 4.5, 5, or 5.6.

Generally, it's advised to turn your IS off when using a tripod, unless you have a lens that "automatically detects" a tripod mounting (which I don't believe the 24-105 does).
