Thought I'd add a few more to this thread to help anyone who is contemplating getting the lens. I will argue that this lens is the best general purpose walk-around lens for the money. It also serves quite well for a landscape/wide angle.

I'll second that! I love it on the 6D for the low light capabilities also. No need to have to go buy mega expensive fast lenses! :lol:

Taken yesterday afternoon at the state art gallery, handheld, 1/15 of a second if memory serves me right and at f/4 with an ISO at 1000.

I concur. I'm never scared to bump the ISO up using the 6D.
