Oct 12, 2016 21:52 | #10580 High up in the mountains of Morelos lies an ancient pyramid at the end of a spectacular hike through the Mexican cloud forest. Dedicated to Tepoztecatl, the Aztec god of Pulque, the shrine attracted pilgrims from as far away as Guatemala in its day. Today, the pyramid overlooks the quaint mountain town of Tepoztlan, known throughout Mexico for its supposed mysticism, far flung community of European and American expats, and production of Mezcal. The pyramid has two rooms inside, one opening out onto the monumental stairs and the other a smaller chamber in the interior. IMAGE LINK: https://flic.kr/p/LxbYEZ![]() ![]() ![]()

One of our many stops was the Cradle of Forestry in Pisgah National Forest. Walking along taking photos of things I found interesting and spending some much needed time away from work and with the wife. When I spotted these mushrooms at the base of a tree. So I took the photo and went about my way. Made the round in the park and on the way back out, looked in the direction of the mushrooms. What the H@LL?!! Someone had destroyed them Looked like someone had pulled the tops off of them or stepped on them. I was sooooooooooo pissed, I did not even take a photo of it. Naturally on the way back to the cabin for the night , I wished I would have. Some people! I don't suffer from insanity. I enjoy it!!
