This was my second time doing this. My first was a 2 week old so this was an easier experience...definitely need some posing experience but I'm pretty happy with what I got.

Any tips on how to better blur the background there? I need to pull it tighter I guess...the wrinkles in the blanket.

Great shots. My only suggestion would be that get down a little lower.
You are shooting bit to high and down.

I sure the parents won't care but I would want to see the whole moon in 3. Also it seems your light in 1,5 and 6 needed to be reposition so it hit more of the baby's face. In 5 and 6 the headband it casting a little shadow on the baby's face.

As for wrinkles I've used really fluffy fabrics and or have the background fabric further back and use a wider aperture so a goes really blurry. Oh or use a white background and use a background light.

Great posing and props. It's all about those props.

You are doing it the hard way. Widening the aperture changes to many things. Set the shot the way you want then clone the wrinkles out afterwards. :D
