A little background, I started have gone from an XTi  40D  G11  T3i (and a Sony RX100).

While I love Canon, and was thinking that my next upgrade should be a 6D (I used to shoot film on an old Pentax SLR) for the full frame aspect. However, recently, I find myself trying to find a kit that meets my needs. I find myself taking pictures of my children and their activities, and sometimes I find my T3i (with 17-50 Tamron and flash) too cumbersome to carry around to take pictures. I tend to prefer my RX100 in most situations, and only find myself wanting more in low-light situations (or when I want to bounce flash off surfaces)

My requirements would be:
- Fast shutter speed
- Smaller than the T3i
- Good low light performance

Based on the list, what would you guys recommend?

Thanks!
