I have never really paid attention to it, and honestly, the Canon didn't have the resolution for it to matter...but in her eyes I was there, clearly...learned I should not wear a white shirt...it was distracting to me, so I cloned me out!

I wouldnt even bother, it's strictly opinion. A lot of flash users tend to use umbrella shaped softboxes rather than square/rectangular for that reason. It's too small of an issue to worry about IMO, catchlights dont get close to ruining a shot.

I've got a few shots of callum where I can see myself and the camera in his eyes when I view at 100%. I kind of like it for that reason, it gives an alternate view to those photos. Its not totally noticeable at normal viewing diatances

yes, I have an octobox light and love the catchlights it puts in eyes...just found it odd that I stood out so much...part of it is the MinFD on the Sigma is so much shorter than the Canon's, you can get right up in there even at 50MM...

At 100% yeah, probably not an issue. Although, my daughter did think it was really cool to zoom in to 300% on the screen last night and see her eyes like that...with me in them!

Wow! I already own the suite. I just wish it stayed with Nik. There has been little to no development on the software since Google took over.

Yeah, I'd rather pay for continued development. Everyone should download it though.

I use the same plugin pretty much all the time, its the "Pro Contrast" function within color efex pro. I find settings set below 30% work best without looking over processed. I also like the Tonal Contrast feature on landscapes

For black and whites silver efex pro is outstanding

What a deal! I think I paid close to $500US at one time for the collection when it was owned by NIK.

Agree, SilverEfex is an outstanding piece of software as are some of the ColorEfex filters. I hope that they continue development of the software suite, it's been pretty stagnant since Google purchased it.

it looks like it is a done deal, free forever. The HDR EFEX tool is ok...I am not a huge fan of software generated HDR, I prefer to manually blend images, it does not work too good for RE/architecture.

Viveza gets run on every image I edit...I will look into that Pro Contrast though. Silver EFEX is great, especially once you figure out how to remove some of the elements it adds in certain presets.

I didn't pay full price, but paid a lot more than the $150 it was at for a while...
