Just pre ordered the FE 50mm 1.8, May 4th can't come quick enough!!

Also side note Adorama's customer servce was so off putting when I was trying to order the lens. Never met such a rude agent before, ended up buying it from B&H.

Deeply concerned to see this; please can you email me: Helen@adorama.com with more details?

did you also use an nd or is this plain lens?

Eddie, no ND filter used since it was with my Lox 21. Pretty cool results I must admit. Wil keep testing. Thank you for the lower aperture/higher ISO tip.

My Batis 25 arrived today. Nice looking lens but not had much time with it yet. My Batis 85 was also supposed to come today but they attempted delivery at my old address. I moved away 3 years ago and I was so tired from work when I ordered the lens I somehow typed in my old address!! I have now got the card though so can pick the lens up tonight or in the morning from the depot

I know its only a box, but I gotta say I'm really surprised by Batis box/presentation. Its truly excellent.

I bought 50L 1.2, 85 1.2 in past, also very expensive lenses, and I gotta say the way Canon sells these expensive lenses feels to impersonal now.

Expensive canon lenses are packed/presented in the same way as their cheap stuff, it doesn't feel like anything special

Opening the Zeiss Batis, feels like I bought a premium product.

Haha!

Another schoolboy error on my part is the realisation that I didnt have a step up ring suitable to use my Lee filters on the 25. Hopefully going to get out for sunset today. Just about to attempt the smooth reflections install!

My thoughts too. The box is a work of art!

Congrats on the Batis 25 Eddie and Nekrosoft13 too. I'm sure you'll like the lens and I'm looking forward to seeing what you can do with both the Batis 25 and 85 once you get it.

I really want to see how you like it for astro. the 18 f/2.8 is on my radar...if I do well at a show/competition this weekend...that lens might be on pre-order...

The Batis 85 is now in my hands too. After having these lenses for all of an hour I already want the 18 even more than I previously did. Been taking random shots around the house and the lenses feel great. Eye AF on an 85mm is amazing!. At first I thought the 85 was quite big and heavy then I lifted my sigma 85 out the bag with the metabones attached! Its almost twice the weight according to the scales. Also even with the hood attached the 85 is only slightly longer than the adapted sigma. These might be the first ever lenses I actually use the hoods with
