hmm, so the plot thickens...

Sigma 35 art performs like crap on the MC-11, it has the native features, but performance is bad, a lot of back and forth...

But Canon 24-70 2.8L II, performs great, doesn't have any native features, but AF-S, AF-C all work great, AF speed is just like on metabones.

well the 24-70ii is a newer lens, performs well with any adapter.

Zooms are more practical lenses for me, and the 24-70GM is like a really expensive mini-van lol. I'll end up with one eventually if I keep shooting events, but it will definitely be more out of necessity.

I feel exactly the same way about zooms, although I can't see a 24-70GM in my future. What can I say--we chose a Town and Country over the Oddessey a few years back.

A 16-35 may be a possibility though. Did two event shoots and a real estate shoot with the PZ16-50 back-to-back-to-back days this week and it made me miss my 17-40L. I'm sure I was a sight at one of the events--running around with the A77ii/200 2.8, A7R/FE55 and A6000/pz16-50/F43M. A77ii for podium speakers, A7R for award portraits, A6000 for everything else. I will say this, my keeper rate is way up from doing the event last year with a 6D/50A/17-40L and 60D/135L setup. The flexibility of the files really played

I'm not going to bag on the kit lens, as it does the job on the a6000 and my uses a huge majority of the time. But not being able to shoot wide with my FF camera is a big handicap when duty calls.

As someone who loves primes, the 18 and 25 Batis are obviously fantastic but I'm just priced out for now.

It seems like the Minolta 200 2.8 APO design could be handed down to an FE design without too much problem, right? Let's make it happen, Sony!

FAO David A, Travis, David F and other fans of TSE lenses, I started a thread on FM forums when I was having issues with my TSE 24 II on the A7RII and recent posts on that thread have shown that shimming can solve the issues. It looks like the problem is caused when adaptors are out of tolerance and the flange distance isnt bang on. Some people found they couldnt focus at infinity with the lens and I had issues with the pixelation effect happening. I believe now this is due to variances in the adaptors. The fix as you will see in the link below is to take the mount off the metabones and shim it up with aluminium foil. Trial and error is required until you get it right.

Im now wondering if that is how I have better images from when I used it on the Sony with the Viltrox adaptor I sold, as the issues were noticed after I switched to metabones. Perhaps my metabones isnt set as well as the Viltrox was.

Heres the thread - http://www.fredmiranda.com …pic/1415739/3#lastmessage (external link)

For the time being Im going to carry on without the TSE lens and see how I go. I may give it one last try in the future though.

An FE mount TSE lens would be heaven but its probably very unlikely and even if they did make one it would likely be $5000 or something nuts like that
