I was concerned to see this; if it is noted as 'in stock' on the product page - rather than 'drop ship', then provided we are not in the midst of a Jewish Holiday, eg Passover or Sukkot, most orders placed by 8:00 PM ET should ship the same day.

Service emailed me about the holiday... I fully respect faith based business however I did not have a banner on the front and had it in a cart before the holiday start so it might have gone thru without the notice but no where in the confirmation was it noted. After the email I went back and tried the whole thing found one small notice in the cart. B&h really let's you know.

Reading your post reminded me to try once again to add $5 to my "wallet" to buy the app with. And, amazingly it finally worked! Now, at last I have the app.

There is a transaction history on my Sony account page and it documents 20 failed previous attempts to add the money to the wallet (and that doesn't include any of the direct purchase attempts from within the camera itself). So, this does go down as the most painful transaction (requiring the most work) in my whole lifetime. So ridiculous. But, at last I can move on and I'm looking forward to trying out the app.

oh? looks very big I didn't think it was man made. makes me wonder are most of the lakes man made? :P

thanks. that was the first pic I took, the sun was coming up too fast so I had to rush the shots. i hope to come back during sunsets and with clouds.

The SR app has been updated. I deleted the app last night and re-installed. E-shutter is now supported
So the 256 that would have applied to the 500,000 shutter life is now down to one!!!
Smooth reflections has so many applications. The new e-shutter also applies to Sky-HDR. Woohoo Sony
for listening and to the logical thing.

Where is the silent shutter option? I can't see it

Edit - playmemories website doesn't list silent shutter either? Other apps that have had it added list it

Played with SR today...set it up inside to see how it works and did a 256 exposure. Kids were running around the frame but were all blured completely out of the final shot.

But the best past is what Charlie mentioned ....there is zero noise in the file...even if push the exposure 3+ stops and/or start doing things like move the clarity slider to 100 or lifting the shadows all the way up. I suspect that you get more DR using smooth reflections, but more importantly, even more latitude to manipulate the files in post. Seriously, you can push the files till they look ridiculous and have no noise in them at all.I know that even with the a7rII sensor at base ISO I can get some noise once I start doing things to pull details out of the sky and what-not.

Im wondering if it would work for star trails photos. Instead of taking numerous 20 second exposures and merging in post would it do it in camera and end up with a star trail raw?

I think there's another app just for that! The problem with doing it in the SR app is there might be spaces in the star trails?

My first image using the Sony app, "Smooth Reflections". It did smooth the water coming from the pump.

I used my Canon 85mm f1.8 lens for this series of shots.

I've not got it so can't comment, but I would assume so as the other apps I use (SR and Time-lapse) have RAW outputs.

Gene, what was that software you posted up recently that looked pretty good? The one where you could edit the direction of the light etc. Trying to find the post but struggling
