Definitely, promote yourself, especially cuz Vin is very talented. Just need to remember that at times there might be a fine line when it comes to promotion. It's society now though, 1-2 pictures is what it seems that people have the patience to go through. Case in point, you put up one really nice photo on social media and I'm sure it'll get a lot of comments/likes. Put up a dozen or more and it's more likely to be ignored.

I know myself personally if I see a friend put up a nice snapshot while they're on vacation or a family portrait I'll take the time to comment or hit like. When someone else puts up 148 pictures of their trip to Orlando, it gets a pass from me.

One thing that might help is to expand your exposure on multiple avenues of social media if you're going that way. Some people are Facebook only, some are solely Instagram. Others are all social media. It might be more work but don't limit yourself to one way of promoting, do them all.

thanks. i will keep in mind all your inputs.

Hashtags are pretty crucial in my opinion. Take a look at popular photography/portrait pictures on instagram and note down which hashtags they use.

Thank you bro. i will do that.

I was playing outside with my newest gear acquisition, and felt a burning sensation on my hand, turns out I'm not suppose to put it in the sun, or it can act like a magnifying glass.

My latest photography toy.....

Sorry to break the discussion, but real quick... Is there a way to zoom in live view on the A7 to refine manual focus?

Assign the Focus Magnifier to a custom button...I prefer the one closest to the shutter button.

Nadim, I also prefer the b&w version. Very nice.

Gary, super shot of the milky way!

Driving back from Haleakala National Park, I ran across these beautiful trees full of purple blossoms. The road was lined with them. I had great light that morning.

I have no idea what that is, but it's cool!

Thanks for all the feedback on the pics guys. I have a lot more to share, but I am slow going through them. Stay tuned.

Thank you David. Yep it was shot with my most used lens on the trip, the Loxia 21. Agree that the colors are great SOOC with that lens. I did boost the blues and yellows when I developed the image in post.
