How's the AF with Canon lenses via the Sigma adapter Paul?

For the lenses I have tested with the new software update from Sigma yesterday (I only picked up the adapter 2 days ago), it seems exactly like the Metabones IV T

Lenses tested
- 35L II
- 24-70 F2.8 II
- 17-40 F4
- 85L ii
- 70-200 F2.8 (I would never use this on either adapter for a pro job)

Sigma 24-105 F4 (reason I bought it)
- it is not as fast as on the Canon's above
- but all the native lens stuff works
- it finds focus every time but isn't as smooth

Hockey and wedding photographer. Favourite camera / lens combos: a 1DX II with a Tamron 45 1.8 VC, an A7Rii with a Canon 24-70F2.8L II, and a 5DSR with a Tamron 85 1.8 VC. Every lens I own I strongly recommend [Canon (35Lii, 100L Macro, 24-70F2.8ii, 70-200F2.8ii, 100-400Lii), Tamron (45 1.8, 85 1.8), Sigma 24-105]. If there are better lenses out there let me know because I haven't found them.

One of my neighbor's grandsons. Taken with the Canon 85 f1.8 lens. The results I get with this lens on my a7rII is what's keeping me from getting either the Batis 85 or the Sony 85 GM.

The Iao Needle in the Iao Valley is a 1,200 ft rock outcropping that you may remember from Jurassic Park. This valley is simply breathtaking with lush trees and plants everywhere. Morning rain and clouds spoiled the view of the peak but at least I didn't have to worry about harsh sunlight on the waterfall.

3 shot vertical pano stitched in PS CC.

I'm definitely getting the 24-70/2.8 GM. Just gotta decide what to sell.
And now that I'm happy with the 100-400 on the A7rII, I'm in no rush on the 70-300G.

Definitely start off by selling my 6D.

Sony A7RII and a bunch of lenses.

The 85 1.8 is a gem in the EF line-up. I bet if it had a red ring on it, it'd get a lot more love.

Make it tough, why don't cha? Either one of those would grace any wall. It depends on the person's taste. I like 'em both.

Depends on your needs, but if you do any portraits, sell the 55. The FL is already covered in the 24-70mm range and f/1.8 is just 1 1/3 stop wider than the zoom. By contrast 85mm is outside the FL range of the 24-70mm and f/1.4 is a full two-stops faster than the zoom. Between the FL and faster max aperture the 85mm is too valuable to sell imo.

But, if shooting portraits isn't your thing, then having a light weight general purpose prime (the 55mm) might be better to keep. OTOH, portraits are definitely not my thing, yet I still wish I had a 85mm f/1.4.

Carried out a little testing today of the smooth reflections app at a local waterfall. Test wasn't very scientific as I changed lenses, settings, framing, focal length and number of shots taken within the app :-P but the one thing I did learn is that for waterfalls you definitely need to use an ND filter (or shoot in light that allows a long enough shutter speed) as without doing that you get a sort of stutter effect (see Batis shot below) which isnt that nice looking

Batis 25 - No filter - 256 shots

Samyang 24 - Lee Little Stopper - Cant remember how many shots but think 128 (also light had changed and I changed the framing)
