Guy on FM turned me onto this....but apparently you can map the focus hold button on the 85GM to whatever function you want. I mapped it to eye focus. If I recall, the FE 90 has a focus hold button as well.

Sorry if the photos of my daughter are getting old. In-laws got a "maria clara" dress for my daughter from the Philippines.

Thanks for the heads up regarding being able to program the focus hold button on the FE 90. I will try that for sure.

My wife just came home from work and said she wants us to go to Iceland in October/November this year. My ultimate photo destination that I haven't been to before and have wanted to forever. Can't actually believe it, might finally get to see and photograph the aurora borrealis

that is just too cool...if my wife said that...my first reaction would be...what happened, and why...then I would book tickets!

So far the trip is going well. Some snafu's here and there but in 8 day so far only a total of 1.5 hours of rain. Day 2 the 4x4 RV had a wheel bearing go kaput and that sacked us for a day but that day was completely overcast/fogged in. The other 7 days (knock on wood) have been wonderful....even warm if you can call 45F warm....well it all has to do with the wind and when the Sun is shining (and it has been 85% of the trip) then the cold is more tolerable. But you know Iceland is cold and windy before you sign up for this kind of trip so we were prepared. Anyway here is a shot from the other day (so far the A7Rii has wracked up 2200 images, the GX8 almost 2000, and there are 3 more cameras to go through tonight....) 6 more days here then off to Norway.

Travis, Patagonia would be incredible. I've been planting little hints to my wife about Iceland. One day I hope. I think next year we will try Thailand. Never been but the temples look amazing.

I am sitting by the campfire right now, here at Petit Jean State Park in Arkansas. Really small time stuff compared to all those incredible places, but I couldn't be happier. :)

After a week of camping here, we'll be visiting KC for a couple weeks and after that we're off to the Ocoee River area in Tennessee for another two weeks. I love car camping!

David, how are liking the park? Are you getting clear nights for some astro work? Sounds like a fun trip.

Tent camping. Does not get old for me. I regard one week camping as outrageously short. ;)

Park is great, really just getting settled in though. It's been cloudy so far.

That's a nice Z. And nice shots BTW.

My brother manages the valet in the Cosmo in Vegas...so he's driven all sorts of cars. He had similar sentiments about the GT-R. My dream car would actually be the R34 GT-R :-)

Of the GT-R's, I'm with you, the R34 is definitely a better drivers car, though I may actually like the R33 the best from a purely aesthetic standpoint :)

Here's an R34 GT-T for you though ;)

If it has to be a sports car and money is no problem, my first choice would be the Bugatti Chiron (external link) or Veyron (external link). :-P

Eh... I have immense respect for the science behind them and the marvel they represent, but I would have almost no interest in owning either, they have no soul in my opinion. I'd much rather have something like a McLaren F1 :)

I used to love camping but anymore, roughing it to me means no room service. :p

Very nice. Looks like a yellow version of Paul Walkers R34 in FF2.

The R33 has always looked bloated to me. I like the sleeker look of the R32 and R34.

Apparently the next GT-R will be electric or a hybrid. I'm all for electric cars for a lot of reasons (especially since I work for an energy company), but I think the sun is setting on cars to truly get passionate about. EV's seem less and less like engineering marvels and more like electrical devices.
