There's a local car show this sunday. I may have something to contribute here with all the vehicle shots.

One of my main reasons for switching over to Sony was portability. I try to take something with me everywhere I go, almost without exception now.

Except for last month at a charity thing at a super-exclusive golf course. I parked next to an Aston Martin Vanquish Volante (2014?), took a few snaps with the iPhone, and just sat there in awe for a few seconds. There are lots of expensive toys in this area, but I'd never seen a Vanquish in person.

I've been interested in the sigma 20 for some time now. Wanting to get more into Astro (even though where I live is not really astro-friendly).
The non-filter friendliness puts me off. But the price and sharpness keep me intrigued.
I have no real interest in the Loxia. But the Batis 18 may be on my radar as well. Not sure on that front yet.

I'm still waiting for the 24-70 GM. Hoping to get one before my next little road trip.

Interesting about the cars. Been thinking Mini on and off for some time now. Love the idea of a quick and responsive car. Not too fond of the roughness in my old age (bad back).
I think I can get another year or two enjoyment out of my GT (although I do have some issues with it, to be honest, from a purely practical point of view).

Medicineman, keep the Iceland pics coming!

Th

Have you tried the Samyang 24mm? I just sold my Canon 6D this week but kept all my lenses including the Samyang.

I use it solely for astro with the Fotga adapter on my A7mkii The milky way shots I posted a week or so ago were the last test for me before selling the Canon body. Astro was just awesome on the 6D. For me, I'm really impressed with the Sony so sold the Canon and now have the A6000 and A7mkii

I can't really afford to swap into native lenses for all that I have and am happy with the adapter for a while. I use the Sharpstar for focus when using the Samyang for astro.

On the subject of cars one of the most fun cars I owned was a Mitsubishi FTO. In 2005 15 FTO's from the owners club drove from England down to Monaco in the south of france and back again via various countries. Part of the trip involved us doing a lap of the Nurburgring in Germany.

Since we're talking cars....here's my whip...its the compromise we made when my wife wanted a mini-van :-)

It's actually pretty fun to drive for an SUV. Honda's SH-AWD system is really nice...aside from it being good from a safety standpoint, its really grippy and it rounds corners better than you'd expect it to.

Whoah sharpstar looks great. It's a focusing assist filter that attaches to the lens. Pretty cool.

Nadim, I like the composition of the pier shot. The water looks nice and smooth. I would clone the debris on the beach. I find it a bit distracting.
