First photo is full size. Second photo heavy crop. Crazy detail for a telephoto lens.

Gaabnz tell me more about the Sharpstar...I know they exist but need one for the Rokinon 14mm/2.8 in Sony e-mount and EOS mount. I didn't know it was out? ???

It drops into a 100mm filter holder. Zoom into the brightest start and it makes an X with a vertical line. Move your focus until the line moves to the centre of the X and you have perfect focus.

Check out the pictures here http://www.lonelyspeck.com/sharpstar/ (external link) Also, this is where you buy it from :)

This is a pretty good shot showing the muzzle blast. You can see trails of sparks beyond the smoke cloud.

So. Anyone else notice that you can't use the smooth reflection app with a canon lens because the camera keeps telling me to turn off steadyshot on the lens (even if it's already off)?

I was about to ask the same thing. It is driving me crazy with my 16-35. Might need to pose the question on FM.

Yeah. I'm at the beach. I got a great shot lined up for sunset in 5 minutes. But it requires 200mm. And my 70-200 canon refuses to do smooth reflection.

I just went ahead and left IS to see if it comes out ok. Seemed ok (sharp) with 16-35, but 200mm could be problematic.

That's odd. Come to think of it. I haven't tested the app on my canon 16-35 either. I hope it works out ok David and Nadim.

This walkway takes you along the north western side of the island where some of the big resorts are located. When the sun is out, the water turns a beautiful turquoise color.
