Decided to try some $16 macro tubes, They were meant for NEX crop bodies so I was optimistic about them working on my A7 but they work quit well!

Only minor vignetting, when using the 10 or 16mm tube independently the AF is actually really good! didn't even notice any slow down.

You can easily crop out the vignette or leave it as is, like I did in this sample.

FE 50mm 1.8 @ F4 +10mm tube

I was impressed by the quality, at $16 with free shipping(Fedex from Los Angeles) I was expecting much less than this but I was presently surprised.

The reason I got these is because the MFD on the FE 50mm 1.8 is rather long at 18 inches, I asked on the macro forum how to get it down to 9 and they said a 25mm tube but all I needed was the 10 and it brought it down to 8 inches!

Now this isn't some miracle product, it isn't going to get you 5:1 results like you see on the package. Also when you stack both tubes together the AF gets so slow its not usable IMO, and the vignette is severe. But if you don't need to stack them they work phenomenal, and for $16 there isn't much more you can get. Heck when I had to order replacement lens caps from Sony it cost me $25! for two dinky pieces of plastic.

Distortion with the 85mm no problem. Solution? Portrait Pro 15

I retouched everything in LR+PS including the double chin but I sculpted the face shape using Portrait Pro 15. I turned off all the other areas there except the Face Shape.

= Client very happy and felt very beautiful.

You may say it's too much. Yah i thought so too but the client want that.

Here is to keeping it in the family and a big thank you to Eriet.
I've sold a few bodies and lenses and only on forums. I trust that you
guys would treat me like I'd treat you and treat the camera gear even better.
I'm one benefactor of Eriet's EOS kit removal. He helped me put the final piece
in place for my three lens kit (16-35/4, 24-70/4, 400DOii/4) for the 1DXii.
And to celebrate not only that but our move into the 21st century internet wise
(we added HughesNet to the cabin, so this pic is beamed from there) here is a pic
via the adapted A7Rii + Metabones + EOS 16-35, my front yard-

i try forums and craigslist first, ebay last.

I used to always try and sell lenses and bodies on POTN first and didn't manage to sell a single thing so don't even bother trying now . We also don't have Craig's list so it's straight to eBay for me. Had luck this time and actually made money on 4 of the 5 lenses I sold

I gotta +1 to this, as much as everyone hates ebay, it's been fetching more money than these forums have, even after fees.

another gimmick shot

I found the same things apart from the AF. The sigma was much quicker at locking focus but that could be due to a7rii vs a7ii

It can also be due adapter, I have TECHART, you maybe Metabones IV
