i thought there were more A7s shooters here, but looks like higher percentage is shooting a7R/a7RII. My fault. Will try to find answers on my questions elsewhere.

avoid eclipse solution, there was some sorta bulletin on that. The cameras with IBIS would need to follow a more special instruction, but non IBIS, nothing special.

he was only one who responded, appreciate that - this is a A7x community, but looks more like some individual person chat type, kinda disappointed

I have one, but i dont know the answer as i always used MF lenses on it..

Anyways, its gone by monday, someone bid a very good amount for it so ill have to let it go. I bought it new and after more than one year only lost 100$

A couple of processing notes as I post this image:

1. I love DXO Viewpoint for images like this. My camera wasn't perfectly squared up to the tracks below, so I used Viewpoint to correct the verticals and to make sure the horizontal rails are perfectly flat to the frame.

2. AFAIK the "clarity" slider has been in Adobe Camera Raw and Lightroom from the beginning, more or less. I hate the "clarity" slider for two reasons: 1. It does not produce a clearer image, so it doesn't live up to the name, and 2. It produces nasty halos (which is why I avoid it). But, a couple years ago Adobe came out with the "Dehaze" slider. I love it. To me "Dehaze" does make images appear "clearer".

It's a shame that it's stuck with such a lame name as "Dehaze". In the last several months I have been using dehaze on most of my images to some degree - either globally as in this image, or locally. It can crush the blacks, but that's easy to mitigate with a simple use of the blend-if sliders. Anyway, if you think "Dehaze" is only useful to cut through hazy images, you might want to toss out your preconceptions that come with an unfortunate name and give some thought to using it to make your images clearer.

David, fantastic composition, tone and color in this image. The lines from the bridge pull my eye to the center leading into the skyline. Thank you for the tips on dehaze and blend if. Blend if is such a powerful tool and I think an essential one to learn.

Did you happen to see Blake Rudis' clever tip for visualizing blend if? He's using it in this tut for noise reduction, but it can be used for any blend if situation. It's like focus peaking for blend if.

+1, after seeing nadim's one, I like the look of it.

Really my only complaint with both the Batis 18 and 25 is that they are very slippery. The plastic and metal is very smooth and I'm constantly worried that I'm gonna fumble the lens and slip it right out of my hand. Never had that feeling with Canon lenses. That grippy finish they use on lenses exteriors feel a lot easier to handle.

I do love their size and weight though. It's convinced me to go full native (the sigma 35/1.4 with adapter feels like a boat anchor in comparison).

I called Pictureline and they were out. They are going to call the Zeiss supplier for an estimate.

Apparently I got really lucky with my 25. They must've been one in stock at B&H when I checked and I pulled the trigger and got it in a couple of days.

One big reason is the size. i love how small it is compared to the FE1635.

I love mine.
I haven't tried the CV 10 yet. And since i have the Batis 18, the CV 15 may become redundant if I get the 10. But the 15 is a fantastic lens.

Yep I sure did. Great tip from Blake. I joined his f64 Elite program. As a member you get access to his detailed training courses, critiques, forum, and much more. $15/ month is worth it to me. He has a lifetime option for I think $360 which is a good deal since it locks you in. That deal will end soon though if it hasn't already.
