avoid eclipse solution, there was some sorta bulletin on that. The cameras with IBIS would need to follow a more special instruction, but non IBIS, nothing special.

Cheers ;) Have some stuff on order. Managed to get a mark on the sensor which obviously isn't dust so won't blow away........!!

First time for everything I suppose.... ;)

haven't tested a lot yesterday because I have to take my wife to a factory outlet(for obvious reasons :p)

Physically this lens is awesome. i like the all metal body. smooth action zoom and focus ring. owning the 85GM, this 1635 feel small to me. I also like that it defaults to 35mm. great for group shoot. less likely to shoot accidentally on the wide end.

this lens is sharp. zeiss color is there. very true color. here's a couple of shot.

My a7RII with Canon zoom was on the tripod so I quickly grabbed my a6000 and captured a few frames handheld. I wanted to capture the clouds as they were passing around the mountains with the sun coming up behind.

I'm always open to constructive feedback on composition and editing of my photos. Let me know what can be improved.

Beautiful scene but I'd like to see a bump in contrast and vibrance. That would bring out the sun rays more too. Here's a quick example to show you what I mean...I used Nik Color Efex Pro 4's tonal contrast and darken/lighten center filters.

Thanks Gene. I like the overall boost. My version did look a bit flat.

Vinz, congrats on the new lens!

I might feel the same way it I still had the a7rII. What I realize is that the new toggle method of moving the AF points makes things much easier when using flexible spot. Beats having to hit the center button all the time.

Also it might be silly to say since it's still a $1,000 camera but it feels a little bit more liberating to me to carry it around and not worry so much about babying it. After 6 months of use even after using the a7rII as careful as I could it started to show brassings in the corners. I feel like with the a6300 I don't have to give it the white glove treatment as much. I mean it's not a disposable camera by any means but not as devesating as breaking an a7rII.

Sony really should update the a7 series with that feature, there is nothing preventing them from doing it. just a minor software tweak.

Who cares about FF or medium format? This is the real thing if money and convenience aren't important... :p

Awesome Joon; really well-conceived and executed image.

I keep seeing gems like this with the CV 10mm that showcase the lens' FOV and I am just blown away by the image quality.
