The power of a brand name like theirs is impressive. I'd be lying if I said I didn't want one, but I guess if I'm going to start putting aside pennies, there's no rush. Hockey and wedding photographer. Favourite camera / lens combos: a 1DX II with a Tamron 45 1.8 VC, an A7Rii with a Canon 24-70F2.8L II, and a 5DSR with a Tamron 85 1.8 VC. Every lens I own I strongly recommend [Canon (35Lii, 100L Macro, 24-70F2.8ii, 70-200F2.8ii, 100-400Lii), Tamron (45 1.8, 85 1.8), Sigma 24-105]. If there are better lenses out there let me know because I haven't found them.

Jun 24, 2016 12:49 | #19675 Eddie, the corners look about the same. Maybe the upper left is a bit sharper but not by much. Don't think it would matter in real world shooting. They do look a bit soft so I don't know if all the Batis 18 lenses are like that. If they do then it's a keeper but if most others are sharper then I would try getting another copy. Tough to decide without looking at others. - Alfredo -

I typically only do one test focused on extreme corner and compare.
