Yup (but a third will be announced at Photokina, 30mm f/3.2)

That is insane. 1 day... with really no decent image samples out there even. The power of a brand name like theirs is impressive. I'd be lying if I said I didn't want one, but I guess if I'm going to start putting aside pennies, there's no rush. Somewhere in Sweden there are some mid-level executives doing research on costs for additional manufacturing facilities. haha

Nothing to do with the A7, but the just announced mirrorless Hasselblad X1D in one day sold out all units that will be delivered in 2016 (with the Sony 50mpix sensor) - amazing.

Curious, where did you hear this?

I'm not saying that it isn't their brand, it is just that I think the photographic world has been waiting for a camera like this to come for a long time - very similar to the Sony A7Rii when launched.

If this camera had IBIS and cost $2000 less, I think Canon and Nikon would have to react because they would risk losing serious sales.

Hockey and wedding photographer. Favourite camera / lens combos: a 1DX II with a Tamron 45 1.8 VC, an A7Rii with a Canon 24-70F2.8L II, and a 5DSR with a Tamron 85 1.8 VC. Every lens I own I strongly recommend [Canon (35Lii, 100L Macro, 24-70F2.8ii, 70-200F2.8ii, 100-400Lii), Tamron (45 1.8, 85 1.8), Sigma 24-105]. If there are better lenses out there let me know because I haven't found them.

I hate Decentered lens issues.... because I dont understand it..... Especially on lenses I have on order vmad now I need to rethink if spending 1500 bucks this way is correct. It will be my most expensive lens.. sigh

do you have a test done wide open? that's how it should be tested.

Fred just pointed that out to me on FM. I'm about to retest. I thought it had to be done at f/8 as I thought the dof would be an issue. I'll redo and post the result

Eddie, the corners look about the same. Maybe the upper left is a bit sharper but not by much. Don't think it would matter in real world shooting. They do look a bit soft so I don't know if all the Batis 18 lenses are like that. If they do then it's a keeper but if most others are sharper then I would try getting another copy. Tough to decide without looking at others.

Its annoying. i wish I hadnt even heard of decentering

Heres the FM thread which has the f/2.8 version. Looks terrible but not sure if thats as good as it gets wide open at 18mm?? (bear in mind I focussed in the centre then moved the camera)

it doesnt look great, but it does look fairly centered, all extremes look equally soft and closest towards center look similar. I know my SY 14 has a noticeable discrepancy where this is fine IMO. If you've got major OCD, you may have another opinion :-P

maybe do 1 test focused on center and 1 test focused on extreme corner.

I typically only do one test focused on extreme corner and compare.
