I do agree that the piercings shouldn't be removed since they are a part of her personality. As for self expression, I just wear a hat, something that I can change whenever I get tired of looking at it. :-D

I've never suited hats :) . The inability to change them is the reason I take a ridiculous amount of time thinking what my next tattoo will be (years in between each one). On the flip side I know a lot of folk that make quick decisions on this and don't have regrets (and some that do)

I finally had a short time to shoot hummers this morning with my a6300 + Canon 100-400L. No flyers yet but I liked these two shots.

Another great image from you too Vinz. Too bad her bra strap is twisted though as it's a bit distracting.

Yah I noticed that bra. I keep reminding myself to slow down but during the shoot, it's just click click click. the eye focus made me do that. haha Good thing i made her eyes looks like a magnet. I really asked her to look like those types of painting which the character would look like staring at you.

thank you though.

Got a question about resolution. When I edit a photo for flickr/potn i reduce it to 1280 pixels on the long side in photoshop before uploading to flickr. I then paste the BB code on POTN.

I have just noticed that the image I posted above looks like crap on the second waterfall towards the background. Im viewing on my macbook pro retina though and wondering if its to do with that since its making the image display at effectively 200% due to the way the retina works. If I view in photoshop at 100% it looks ok. (If I click 100% size on PS the 1280 wide image is half the size it is when the same file is viewed on here)

Other peoples images on here look fine though.

What do you guys do to re-size your images before posting? Is this just a retina issue I am noticing?

I would rather exercise slowing down and paying attention to details next time. When I was a graphic designer, I hated our photographer because he's so dependent on us cleaning in PS. He don't wanna move things around to clean the shot. Now I don't want to do it to myself... as much as possible. thanks though.

100% of the time, I always edit the highest quality. 16bit .tif prophoto. when i'm done in PS. I'll just close the file(in layers in case of revision) and save. the edited version will show up in LR. I then tweak more when needed and export to 2100 to 2400px on the long end sRGB jpeg. doesn't matter if its a 300dpi or 72dpi. so i keep the .tif version

and yes i have 27"retina 5K

I maybe didnt make what I meant clear. My 1280 wide image when viewed in photoshop at 100% only takes up a small portion of the viewing space. The same file when viewed on a web browser is much bigger. I have to zoom photoshop to 200% to match the size. This has never been an issue until today. With the last image I posted the 200% or web browser version actually looks pixelated in the background. Im wondering if its due to the sharpness of the sensor combined with the sharpness of the lens thats making it more obvious?

Basically the web browser is identifying that I have a retina display and choosing to display my 1280 wide file at 2560 pixels. If I save the file at 2560 though it realises the file is large enough already and displays it at 100% instead of 200% and the pixelation is gone. Only problem is I cant post 1280 wide versions from flickr if I start with a 2560 file. My 1280 file looks fine on my phone as its not being stretched to 200%.

Trying to work out how to avoid this
