Eddie I've read that you are having sizing/monitor/resolution issues but to my eye
this image screams lush beauty!

So many great lenses I wish I could have. The Tamron 15-30mm has been on my wish list since it debuted.

MM, maybe wait on the wonderpana till after you've used the lens a while and really determined you want the hassle of the wonderpana? I got one for the TS-E 17: it's great, but huge.

I have been missing the crap out of the 11-24 and may make a move to reaquire it. If so I might also get the wonderpana for that lens.

Curious to see post trip which you used more, liked more.
Kinda in that focal range I've decided to add a Tam 15-30mm
and the Wonderpana system for it...I have no good reason as
to why since I'm mostly 300mm and up.

Dang I just searched the 15-30 group on flickr with sony cams...... thats a good lens!

David that is great advice.
The Tam is en route, no problem seeing just how big this lens is before making it bigger.

Eriet, I too did a cursory scour of the Flickr group.
Read the reviews and 'settled' :)
I want double duty, and after my very positive experience using the
EOS 24-70 on this last trip via Metabones I ordered this Tam in EOS mount.
From the beginning Tamron was Metabones friendly to the A7Rii so I think
I'm good there-thinking of my Tam 24-70.
The clincher for the Tamron choice found in several reviews was a positive
for astro, so it's double double duty in that it can do astro where a lot of
wides are plagued with coma. I'll still use the Rokinons but 9 times of 10
historically I only take the Roks for astro.
The only real negative was lack of filter threads but the Wonderpana moots
that one.

I really like the mist and the long shadows in this one Gene. Still can't believe what you can pull out of the shadows with these sensors!

Thanks. I love working with these Sony raw files, they are so malleable. Oh, that's not mist in the image but dust. The laborer is using the hose to help control dust created by the excavators working in the trench. I liked how it was backlit and wanted to capture that.

I like that Tamron too, I rented it once, the A7Rii works great with it, but its just HUGE!

while images where good, Tamron 15-30+adapter+ a7Rii is just way way to big.
