I've been looking at that myself, so will be interested in your observations – although, as I am not a landscape shooter, I'm hard-pressed to come up with an application for it. I just like the idea of that focal length, and loud GAS voices are telling me to buy something/anything, soon!

lol, those voices use to echo so loud in my head, but I'm fairly settled now. My wife gave me the go for another lens a while back and I drew blanks, going to wait for the samyang 14 instead. I know 10-14 is massive, but realistically, 14 is ridiculously wide as well and I'll just make due.

bh open box deals can be ridiculously good, got my 70-300 with 200 off, it was brand new condition.

Lucas, I also enjoy your black and white photos. Good interesting subjects and processing.

David Farina, great job on editing your car image. The dynamic range of these Sony sensors is incredible.

Gene, very cool product shots. Makes we want to go out and get a nice razor.

I'm with Charlie on waiting for the Samyang 14 but it is getting hard to resist that Voightlander 10.

MM, very nice image of the icebergs. I would recommend cloning out the ice on the bottom left.

Sort of curious as to how useful the new E-mount Voigtlander 10mm will be.
I couldn't resist, but it is an open box buy from B&H and they promise it to be here by next Friday.
Because of the holiday, it won't ship until Tuesday.

Great work everyone. As much as GAS has effected me over the past few years (I don't know if anyone can match) and just alone this year (started with an a7rII -> X-Pro 2/x70 -> E-M1 -> K-1). I'm very sati sided with the a6300 of all cameras. Not perfect and not a complete system. But since I got it I have no itch or desire to buy another camera and it's been going on about a month now.

The combination of compact size, the corner EVF, the relatively small lenses, and the gorgeous IQ have me very happy. I'll be looking at Photokina of course but for the foreseeable future I'm content. A a7rIII/a9 will probably be $4,000-5,000.

Thank you :)

I did the profile pic with the wifi on my 6D, had my phone in my pocket as the remote.

Thank you! It's funny, I used to really dislike B&W photos, but now I've learned to appreciate them so much that I actually plan most of the shots that I make B&W to be B&W before I ever click the shutter button.

so you sold the a7r2 for the a6300? how do you find the a6300? been using my a6000 next to my nikon d750 ever since the Sony launched and about 70 percent of my pics are with the Sony so thinking about upgrading.

Did anyone here see my question a few days back about wet cleaning the sensor on the A7R2?

Beyond the basic dust spots that can be blown away by the rocket blower, I am concern that there may be a film that's built up over time, from my use by the beach (there is no avoiding the ocean spray and mist, no matter how careful one is).
I don't really notice any particular issue in my images (beyond the fact that I haven't been very inspired lately). But I see the kind of misty residue that i have to wipe off my lenses after beach outings, and I wonder if my sensor shouldn't have gotten at least a bit of that despite my best efforts to keep it out of the way.

Thoughts?

And so, how do you wet clean the sony sensor? (I've heard conflicting reports so far, involving IBIS and eclipse fluids).

Sony A7RII and a bunch of lenses.
