Gene, youre really the gif master :)

Thanks David but I"m hardly a master of anything and by any stretch of the imagination. I just like challenging my mind to learn new and different things.

Playing with timelapse photography. Somehow, I'm a few frames short of making a complete circuit.

[GIFS ARE NOT RENDERED IN QUOTES]

That is really cool! I never thought of doing a timelapse of something like this (I always think clouds or water, when thinking timelapse).

Now I got myself a project for tonight!

Im sure everyone knows I never rethink a decision..

But damn when I compare the pics from the Batis 18 to those of the Loxia 21........ I have to say the Loxia does look better. Not real world same shot comparisons but look at the two groups on flickr

Maybe I should be looking for the Loxia.... But I worry about my manual-ability

Sigh yet again

My experience with the Batis 25 and Loxia 21 is consistent with this. Loxia has better flare control, and contrast/microcontrast. SOOC colors are also better. I keep reaching for the Loxia despite it being MF, and a full f-stop slower.

Really though....you should let your focal length needs be the priority. If you need 18mm...batis is the way to go.

My macro shot of a jumping spider doesn't compare with Gene's but here you go. They're creepy but I also think spiders are amazing.

Handheld at 1/10sec at ISO6400. Flash would have been so much better. This little guy was on the roof of our car in the garage.

If I took more birding shots, it would probably be worth it to me to sell the 100-400L in favor of the Sony 70-400 + adapter. Thanks for continuing to inspire me to get this lens. :-) Great shot as always.

Hey Nadim, I like this one better than the first one. First one was nice too but this one seems more subtle to my eyes.
