Thanks. May have to rethink this idea. Prices have shot up in the uk due to the euro referendum. It's now £150 more expensive than it was for a grey import

You will have to pay the sale tax.

Edit:

B&H (external link) doesn't charge you tax but then you will need to pay the shipping to FL

Yeah that sucks. I don't really know how to feel about the whole Brexit deal. Bad for the pound for sure...at least in the short term.

Can someone familiar with US tax confirm something with me please. The a6300 is a good price in bestbuy compared to the uk at the current exchange rate. If I purchase one in Florida when I am there next month will there be sales tax added or is the price on the website the final price?

there will be a sales tax, unless you can order it out of state and send it to where ever your staying

And here is the shipping schedule for that free expedited shipping. Be sure to allow 3 business days for the item to reach you once shipped if you decide to go that route. And of course you need a mailing address to have it shipped to.

based on that map, its funny that they are calling it "expedited" seems seems like a standard FedEd Ground Delivery.

Even in Belgium the Sony camera prices have been raised.

The A7II went from €1.629 to €1.749. The A7RII went from €3.499 (launch price and price a few weeks ago) to €3.599.

Regarding a mailing address I found in the past that the likes of B&H and 17th Street photo won't ship to a hotel.

I suspected that and was going to offer my address as a place for Eddie to have his camera sent to. Of course, I live on the opposite coast than Florida but I'd hold it for him until he could make it out to the left coast. :-) I wouldn't even use the camera much because I already have one. ;-)a

I bet TR knows this site. Working the 28/2 + 21mm WAA. We spent 4 days in the Alligator River NWR but hopped over to Nags Head for a possible Milky Way, which didn't even come close to happening-this image via the poor man's Batis shows why-

Now that I've had a taste of the CV 10mm I want more...getting antsy for the 12mm to start shipping. Any idea when that will be?

Odd how it works. It would seem that 10mm and 12mm are very close, but the gap between 10 and 12 is only a little smaller than between 12 and 16.

I'm not sure I made the right decision with the 10, the older 12 takes filters, and I'm guessing the new one does as well. That would be my main reason for choosing one over the other, assuming equally good optics. I think my 10 should be coming in soon, will likely sell off the 12, it doesnt perform very well with filters, I save that duty for the rok 14.

Anyone planning to shoot the meteor shower tonight? Is that the peak period after 1 AM?

Anyone here have good AF experience with the Canon EF 135mm f/2L on the a7 II? Does the a7 II perform as well as the a7R II with Canon glass?

BTW, not asking this for myself; it's a question I've received but couldn't anwer due to lack of experience with either a7 II or 135L.

I have that combination and autofocus using a commlite does not work. On manual you get good pictures.
