power zoom attachment is for ameateur work... people shooting pro/commercial video won't use that.

There's plenty of pro videographers/cinematographers that use power zooms, heck most EFP cameras include it in their lenses. They are just a tool that makes it easy to get smooth zooming shots.

OFF topic.

What do you think about the new iPhone 7 Plus(especially the dual lens) and iWatch 2?

i'm really considering of getting a 50 1.4, due to price so far i'm leaning towards the Samyang, 50 ZA also looks amazing, but that price.

How is the size weight of it compared to the 55ZA you had before.

HEAVY compared to the 55. 27.44 oz at least it weight less than my Canon 85mm f/1.2L II :-P

For the price, I always check B&H for opened box items. I was supposed to get it used for $1239.95 but they made a mistake and had me going to the store 3 times. The last time I went, they told me it wasn't in the store yet. I made so much noise that they ended up giving me a brand new one for the same price. :-D

Dave Dougdale explains why he prefers one camera over the other for video after 8 months of owning both a7S II and a7R II. Very interesting.

it's interesting he omits that the A7rii actually does 4K in full frame as well, and he prefers to use in crop mode. I've used both for dance recitals and plays in low light, and you'de be hard pressed to tell them apart when it comes to cleanliness of video (at least for me). Both extremely clean for lowlight video, using 1/30 shutter speed and autoiso (around 3200-6400 @ f2 and F2.8)

The fact that the A7rii can work in FF mode AND crop mode makes it a winner for me. Shooting primes too often, I can run out of luck, or make my own with FF vs Crop. Unlike photography, cropping video in camera does the opposite when it comes to IQ. Binning vs oversampling.

In photoshopCC 2015.5, I used the tilt shift blur filter found in the Filter>Blur Gallery. First, I selected the car and put it on its own layer, filled in where the car was using content-aware fill and removed the distractions from the background like the sign.

I know the feeling...mine is 5 and is 48" tall...projected to be 6' tall...

Great shots guys, just wanted to chime in that I wouldn't hold much stock in "projected" growth estimates. I was told when I was a kid that I'd be one of the tallest men in my family because I grew early and quickly and I had large feet and hands for my size (still do)... well, I'm 5'8", the shortest man in my family

ha! That is pretty funny. For us, I am 6'-1" and my wife is 5'-9" and we both have tall folks in our family...my little brother is 6'-8"!

Girls can stop quickly though...so we will just have to wait and see!

my first iPhone was the 3G and I was then using samsungs from that point on. In the las few months my work phone got upgraded from a Samsung to an iPhone 5S. It was confusing for the first day but now that I'm used to it I love it! I couldn't see myself going back to Samsung now. I'm also not bothered that there's newer models as this one is still good. The cameras produce decent images too. That's the only reason I would be interested in a newer model as I know the cameras keep getting even better. I follow a few guys on Instagram that only shoot with an iphone and honestly the stuff they produce is amazing

Eddie (et al) I was Android for years (that was after Windows Pocket PC ? / Palm Pilot and Casio Cassiopeia) vowed I'd never buy Apple BUT in April this year I bought the iPhone SE 64GB Silver and have to belatedly say in public I love it!

That said I always contended that if Apple produced an iFart App they would claim it is the best Fart App ever and maybe Tim Cooke might demonstrate it on one of Apple's "FanBoy" keynote speeches, however I have to inform Mr Cooke my MyFart App is better and doesn't need a phone ;-)a
(Tongue in cheek of course)

Sign her up for gymnastics. That level of workout tends to stunt the growth a bit. ;)

Yeah, I'm comfortable with my height, just wanted to point out that projections are basically malarky as far as I'm concerned  My dad's about 5'11" and my mom's about 5'6" so it's not like I'm that far off from their heights.

Here's a new edit on an older image. I wanted to remove the sign and other distractions from this version. The banding in the sky is due to the gif compression. It isn't there in the jpg shot.

So, here's the before/after and a link to the larger 5683 x 3197 after shot.

Gene I believe you must have been asked before "How do you do that" is there a tool to produce the alternating before and after? also (maybe I'm wrong) I seem to remember seeing a slider showing before and after where the viewer moves the slider. Is this something which is readily available?

Again adapting the 300/2.8ISii + MT T iv to the A7Rii.
This combo just might make the Panama trip.
