you can also use a godox receiver on the rovelight. it enables you to use multi rovelight because the receiver has multi channels and groups. However, i cannot control the power from the godix x1t-s transmitter. it sucks. also i hate the receiver hanging around. the built-in receiver is awesome.
you can add a Godox speedlight and you can control the power but not on rovelight.
digital_AM wrote in post #18122986 Where did you guys buy your Haida filters? Do they make a holder where the CPL can turn freely?
Alfredo, I purchased my Haida filters from Amazon. The organization of products is a mess there, but they're there. Another option - way better organized - is 2filter.com. They have all the Haida filters there.
My filter holder is the Lee holder, but my 105mm CPL "accessory ring" is from the Filter Dude. It fits perfectly and is 100% compatible with the Lee holder.
Here's my plan: The CPL ring caused a little vignette on two of my lenses (16-35 @ 16mm and TS-E 24L II @ max upshift), so that prompted me to remove all but one ND/GND slot (which fixed the vignetting). But, sometimes - not often - I like to use a solid ND in conjunction with a GND, so my plan is to be buy an additional filter holder. The second one will just have two ND slots and no CPL ring.
If you don't use GNDs you can also go the route of a square 100mm CPL and just rotate the filter holder as needed for polarization.
Most of my adapter rings (that connect the lens to the filter holder) were ordered from the Filter Dude as well. Very high on those guys; prices are great and the quality is just fine. The best thing about the Filter Dude rings is that they are very well marked with large white lettering. It makes grabbing the right ring you need so much easier.

The other day I was testing the Haida CPL vs Singh Ray Color Combo CPL and I hated the Haida CPL. So, I'm taking advantage of Singh Ray's first ever 20% off sale to buy the 105mm Color Combo CPL for use with my 100mm filter system. That way I can use it on any lens I own (that takes front-thread filters).
But, today I wanted to evaluate the Haida ND filters - I currently own their 6 and 10-stop filters. WOW, they are practically perfect. I tested the 10-stop compared to no filter and the colors are nearly identical. Now I just need a 3-stop and a 15-stop Haida ND to complete my set.
Anyway, just in case my previous CPL filter comparison gave anyone the wrong impression, unlike their CPL I am very "hai" on Haida ND filters. <<<<sorry that was lame. I highly recommend them, just as others here already do. I first learned about Haida via Charlie's posts.
Glad to know, I just picked up a Fuji 14 2.8 and the seller included a Haida 10 stop ND filter. Good to know that it's not a throw away.
Lenses still aren't there. Who knows about AF performance or the big wildcard in all of this, buffer performance. Since they crippled their 5DIV with regular cf and uhs-I, probably the same thing with this. Meaning 1-2 seconds of continuous shooting and buffer is full.
What's funny is to read the comments on the canon rumors thread about this. Everyone replying is saying how this is the next purchase and how it looks like it's the one. How other Mirrorless before are all a joke but that canon Finley got it right and to watch out they're going to be reckon with. And they call us Sony/Fuji fanboys. At least we have a trac record of solid cameras.
mystik610 wrote in post #18121408 Got yet another camera...well more of an every day bag for work to carry my laptop, and miscellaneous (camera). Lowepro Streetline.
This seems like Lowepro's take on Peak Design's everyday messenger (which I also own and use on gigs). To me the lowepro works better as an everyday bag for carrying a camera and extra stuff, while the peak design is a really well thought-out camera bag, but a camera bag first and foremost. The lowepro also isn't as rigid as the peak design, which has a tendency to look massive once you put gear in and it expands.
Inside the bag: RX1RII, Nissin i40, headphones, 15 inch macbook pro, portfolio folder and other misc stuff.
If you wanted to go full-on gear mode you can actually stuff a pretty decent kit in here. Here's the bag with the a7rII + 24-70GM, 85GM, and just for fun, the Canon 70-200 2.8II WITH the metabones adapter attached. Laptop and portfolio still fit in there too.
Badly composed photo. Definitely not 5DIII thread worthy but too lazy to re-take it

The 1dXII is probably the best indicator of how well the EOS M5's dual pixel AF works. It seems decent to me, but not at all DSLR caliber. Dual pixel AF was a big deal when it was first announced, as hybrid AF was still in its infancy back then. I'm interested in seeing how dual pixel AF stacks up against the best hybrid AF systems, as the AF system in cameras like the a6300 are very close to DSLR caliber and have some important upsides (eye focus and what not).
It is interesting that people in the Canon camp who slammed mirrorless AF systems for not being DSLR caliber are praising the EOS M5 hehe. But thats a bunch of noise IMO. The EOS M5 seems to be a solid mirrorless offering either way. Right up there with the aps-c offerings from the likes of sony and fuji

Interestingly enough im an even 6 ft but my brother and parents are short. In my case there's more to it than DNA....I was born here in the US and grew up on a western diet. Didn't like filipino food as a kid at all.
My brother immigrated here when he was 8 and I was 4....I have a good 4 inches on him
im filipino, born and raised in the islands and im 6 foot 3

Hah well you're definitely the exception, not the rule. Another thing I've found interesting is that people born and raised in Asian countries look very different from those born and raised here. Facial structures look very different.
