I remember some of you folks having a bear of a time actually buying Sony Apps...I can't get it to accept a credit card or my paypal...it always says its invalid...WTF...it won't let me add $$ to the wallet...

All you're doing is re-raising my blood pressure all over again. That is exactly what happened to me. And I wish I could tell you how I fixed it, but I just tried again after about a week and I was finally able to add the money to my wallet. It's just the most exasperatingly frustrating app store I have ever seen. What kind of store makes it hard to give them your money?? vmad

I thought I had it whipped...I was just going to add it through the PC with the camera plugged in...well, the App account on the camera was still the previous owner, and the only way to get rid of it...is to start over, reset camera to factory defaults...fark...that means all the buttons had to be reset...PITA...now, the App store online has an internal error and STILL won't take my money...sheesh...what a joke...

Definitely a head scratcher. I spent 3 or 4 nights trying to install the SR app. I was finally able to do it from the camera.

That is next...navigation and character input on the camera is awful...like texting on an old flip phone...

Alfredo, I purchased my Haida filters from Amazon. The organization of products is a mess there, but they're there. Another option - way better organized - is 2filter.com. They have all the Haida filters there. (external link)

My filter holder is the Lee holder, but my 105mm CPL "accessory ring" (external link) is from the Filter Dude. It fits perfectly and is 100% compatible with the Lee holder.

Here's my plan: The CPL ring caused a little vignette on two of my lenses (16-35 @ 16mm and TS-E 24L II @ max upshift), so that prompted me to remove all but one ND/GND slot (which fixed the vignetting). But, sometimes - not often - I like to use a solid ND in conjunction with a GND, so my plan is to be buy an additional filter holder. The second one will just have two ND slots and no CPL ring.

If you don't use GNDs you can also go the route of a square 100mm CPL and just rotate the filter holder as needed for polarization.

Most of my adapter rings (that connect the lens to the filter holder) were ordered from the Filter Dude as well. Very high on those guys; prices are great and the quality is just fine. The best thing about the Filter Dude rings is that they are very well marked with large white lettering. It makes grabbing the right ring you need so much easier.

Appreciate it! The filter dude has great prices and good quality.

If you're looking for a plate holder you should check out the Wine Country unit that will be coming out soon.

Looks very good but pricey. I like that it virtually eliminates all light leaks. Thanks.

In case anyone is interested in Nisi ND filter system, this kit is well priced and includes all the holder pieces and the CPL. Just need to add the ND filters separately. Albert Dros tested Nisi and was impressed. He uses Haida too at the moment.

Yet another reason I keep having 2nd thoughts about this system. Everything is frustratingly unintuitive with Sony.

To pile on to this story, I just got back from trying to do a bit of a photoshoot on a car (hoping to get something for the weekly challenge). I wanted to use flash for some effects (inspired by some of the pics in here from 2 days ago). It was a disaster.
I'm sure it's just me and my complete lack of skills with speed lights. But I'm so frustrated w this camera right now.

Sony A7RII and a bunch of lenses.
