Yeah "well under 10k" is an odd comment. If it's 7k surely saying its 7k looks better than well under 10. That to me suggests it's $9100 or thereabouts :)

Building out a medium format kit would be too costly for me.

I MIGHT be interested in a MF fixed lens camera.

Medium format x100 camera without increasing the body size. Probably physically impossible but it would be awesome

In other news Fuji announced a square format instax film http://www.fujifilm.com/news/n160920_01.html (external link)

The one thing that bugged me about the current instax printers was the format. I wished they were square like old Polaroid photos. I hope they eventually release a standalone printer with square format and not just an instax camera. I'd probably pick one up for use with the a7rii

Hey Lucas, Fuji just released a mirrorless camera I might actually be interested in :-)

But bigger sensors are not better.... Why are they wasting their time.

85 art? If I was still in canon land that would have really excited me.

I wish I could afford to own a 5D4, D810, xt2 and my a7rii at the same time. So many cool cameras and lenses out now

no really but i was curious of his different approach on different genre.... i was also more interested with watching the shooting and BTS. Dixie is good but I was just wondering why it seems she doesn't care about blown out backgrounds. is it really not important in lifestyle shots?

i havent watched that tutorial but that's an interesting concept....she didnt say anything about it at all?? It cant be a case of no other choice so just blow it out...is it going after a particular look - some sort of hi key interpretation?

Do you have a link? I would love a 500 f/4 OS if they release one.

the 85 is the one I am most interested in...the 12-24 sounded great but the announcement piece I was reading had a typo...its f/4...not f/2

my problem is...after shooting with the B18...I am so much more interested in going native now....

iOS is a more efficient OS than windows so given two machines with similar specs, a mac tends to run better. That was my impression as of 5 years ago at least. Realistically, we've sort of maxed out the specs that we need out of personal computers. Unless you play games or run something that really taxes the hardware (i.e. video editing), you'd be hard pressed to sense a difference in performance and the preference for one OS over another is largely a matter of taste.

Hehe my laptop at the new job has windows 10 installed. I actually like the OS a lot. The new version of excel is super sluggish which I hate though.

problem is, the money you pay to get a similarly specced mac machine if you turn around and buy a PC version you get higher specs hehehehehe
