Anyone got any good photography websites or blogs they can recommend? I go between POTN , FM and SAR and there's not enough new/interesting threads to keep me going a lot of the time. Is there anything else decent out there that people frequent? (Not necessarily another forum, in fact preferably not a forum)

And before anyone says less internet more shooting, it is what it is

And that right there may be why I might bag the 55 and get the batis

at those levels of optics, you simply buy based on preferable focal length IMO.

Troll youtube :p

dpreview forums is pretty active, but highly trollish. I dont have an account, but I do occasionally visit.

youtube guys like matt granger, fronosphoto or whatever.

A guy not totally camera related, but I really love on youtube, casey neistat, his videography is simply amazing (not much of a video guy but I appreciate his stuff).

The one blog I do frequent is NeilV's blog but its more of a portrait blog, and the stuff he posts has a lot of influence on how I shoot. I too am open to other blogs worth reading!

Yeah. And a couple of books. I bought a few of his books but really his blog has everything you need.

I've never noticed CA in any of my shots from any of the Batis lenses. My 55 on the other hand has loca in certain circumstances

This has been my observation too.

The 55 seems to be my least used lens. It's a shame because it's got a great size and is the perfect compliment in a prime lineup between 35 and 85. I guess that FL just never grabs me.

55 is too close of a focal to both 85 and 35 while not being as interesting as either

I reckon that when there is finally a 35/2 option I will part with the 55. I've always been more a 35 guy than a 50 but since I don't like any of the current 35 options I've been learning to like the 55. When the time comes that there is a better 35 option though I will likely revert back and sell the 55 even though I love it's IQ

Another site that summarizes latest posts on multiple sites for a specific topic like photography is: ALLTOP (external link)

It's frequently updated and gives you the latest posts on dozens of sites.
