for sure, I've had a lot of queries for portrait work, thanks but no thanks though :-P

any income wouldnt be to finance GAS either, my wife would be all over it..... would LOVE to have an excuse to buy the 85GM though :p

Yes my wife is all over the money lol....she pimps me out to her friends and then turns around and buys something for herself with the money.

But hey my money is her money. The plus side is that she doesn't question my gear purchases at all.

This is frickin lovely Vin!!!!!

The only photoshopped addition that grabs my attention and makes it ring false though, is the blurry leaf in the foreground on the far right. It would be blurry, but would not be transparent. The fact that you can see another leaf behind it tells my brain it's been added in post.

That aside though, very very nice work

Yeah the problem here is the weather in the summer. I mostly shoot outdoors, and people don't want to take photos in the heat so unless there's some sort of event someone wants covered, I usually don't book much from May-Sept.

yeah, not much different here...I sure don't miss Houston summers though...as bad as it is here, that is worse...might be back that way in February...best friend turns 40...thinking of making another trip out there.

Stop over in SATX. Not as humid as Houston but still hot.

While on the subject of street photography I've got a question about genres.

My favourite type of stuff on instagram is things like this www.instagram.com/citykillerz (external link) (just one example of many I follow). What would you say the genre is? A lot of them say street photography in the descriptions (like this one does) but it's not the candid photographs of strangers many class street photography as. Is it "urban" more than street? I've often wondered this

Edit - I just realised I posted this in the wrong thread but the same people are here :)

One of my favorite genre's too and I wish I lived in a truly metropolitan big city. Houston is a large city, but more of an urban sprawl than the more densely populated cities.

I'd say that that set is a mixture of cityscapes, street, and urban lifestyle photography...a little conceptual portraiture too.

Thanks mystik. I honestly can't get over the quality of photos on instagram (once you find the right people and groups to follow). I find it to be higher than Flickr etc. I just struggle to get a following there though
