Guys....i never thought i would love the sony primes fe 28 and fe 55 but i do! Just got back from korea (IT IS SO DAMN COLD DOW THERE) and i was able to use the 2 small primes and i love them so much. Disclaimer that i shot probably 75% of the photos with the 16-35 (but thats the undisputed travel lens for me).

BUT! the size of the 2 primes along with the quality of the pictures they make - awesome!!!!!

Now...what i really hope sony would do is to create either an 85mm or 105mm that follows the same design principle as the sony 55 or sony 28. Small yet packs a punch.

Please sony make one!!!!!

This not Sony related unless the sensor in my old Canon 7D had a Sony sensor in it. :)

Just wanted to share a recent edit of some bison feeding early morning in the fog in Yellowstone. Lightroom is pretty powerful in its own right.

sorry coming into the party late here. Some people swear by TTL, whle some people dont. The problem ive had with ttl is that it sometimes gets fooled by the framing when you have highly reflective items in the frame (or high specular values). So for me i would rather shoot manual and have the ability to move up or down the flash power from where i am standing.

I havent shot in a studio a long time now though (or even with off camera flash) - especially with my a7s, so the technology might have improved.

In a studio with a multiple light set-up, its hard to get the ratios right with TTL so I prefer MF...plus ETTL can be inconsistent between shots. I've always wished there was an "ETTL lock" function that will keep the same exposure values for a series of shots until you decide to reset ETTL.

I've been using ETTL with the Godox ad360II outdoors, however, and am gaining a new appreciation for ETTL when shooting outdoors with a single light. It's still not perfect, but it eliminates the need to gimp your lights when you're dealing with changing ambient lighting.

I also used Manual even on speedlight. i've read TTL or ETTL messes up with our exposure. The video of manny ortiz looks good though. I will see this tuesday when it comes. I'll check the consistency too.

I have no intentions anymore to catch such events. I missed going to work for the last supermoon, fullmoon and bloodmoon:

There is a new slick search function in the latest version I believe.

On another topic, I've been reading some positive impressions of the Laowa 12mm lens from users that received theirs. Definitely a good sign. There was an email from Venus Optics with a few links to the feedback.

This is good news. Do you have a link? I just received my shipping details and tracking number this morning
