On the topic of kickstarter, looks like the kickstarter project that my wife ended up buying is starting to ship soon as well.

Luckily it didn't fall into the fate of some kickstarter projects but I just hope it delivers in terms of results. I remember pledging for the Ouya video game system a few years ago and while it shipped, it was a POS.

since i bought a much expensive strobe, i now finally bought a C stand. i know it's heavy but it's better than damaging my strobe. not as expensive as profoto b1 but still.

I've used those in a studio. Really sturdy esp with a boom arm. But really heavy

that's a monster of a stand, however for the flash bracket, I highly recommend the S bracket

it's amazing and wont protrude as much. Very well balanced

Anyone else see the new Macbook Pro? Full of gimmicky non-sense that I don't care for, but I just realized that they got rid of the SD card slot!

Apple has lost sight of what the "Pro" monicker is supposed to mean. I have a feeling that my 2014 15 inch will be the last MBP I buy.

Plus touch screens on a fully spec'd computer are the future, not giant tablets running mobile hardware/software.

There was a blog post on PetaPixel about this. I'm not sure what Apple is thinking. They should release a "pro" version of the MBP.

Macbook Pro S+. $799 premium, but you can an SD slot. Either that or they'll sell you the Apple "magic slot" adapter for $65.

Hey Alfredo, which Laowa lens did you get? I'm looking at adding the 15mm to my kit early next year. Looks really interesting.

might as well go the USB route if that's the case. I have a touchscreen lappy, and I honestly use it a ton more than my ipad. It's just so much better, and can do real processing. Only downside is battery life not as good, but it's decent, probably 4-5 hours

I got the new 12mm Zero-D lens. They have a 15mm macro I believe. The 60mm macro looks really good and so does their 105mm.

Ah yeah just noticed that they aren't taking order for the 15mm zero d yet. 12mm is too wide for me.

Interesting. I think going from 12mm to my Batis 18mm will be a good combo. 15 and Lox 21 would be a very nice combo too for you.
