I've been following this thread for over a year. Have learned a ton and am continuously amazed at all the photos everyone on this board produces. I basically am just a hobbyist and really caught the photography bug about 4 years ago and became fascinated by how the camera works and how changing a few settings can really change a picture. I mainly just shoot my children and other family members and do a little stuff for work here and there. Maybe one day when my kids are older and require less hands on attention I might want to do some stuff on the side to aid in my GAS and just because I enjoy the entire process. I have a ton to learn still but that's what's so great about photography...you never really master it. I'm amazed at some of the processing on this thread and hope to learn more. I'm mainly shoot people but would love to shoot more landscapes one day when I have more time...with the kids being so small it's tough for me to get away. Anyway, I just wanted to say hi and thank you all for all the inspiration and other knowledge you spill. I used to own 6D and converted to an A7RII about 10 months ago after having owned a Sony A6000. I loved the mirrorless technology and the ability to see you exposure in the electronic viewfinder. I might contribute a few pics here and there from now on instead of just lurking in the shadows like I have been...lol Have a great weekend everyone. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Wow! Fantastic work. Lovely lighting on all those. a7RII • a7C • V12 • L21 • S24GM • S85

I was there myself once before many moons ago and stayed at Furnace creek but I wasnt really into photography at the time so would really love to go back again. My main memory of the trip was that at 10pm the thermometer I had was off the scale (scale went to 120 degrees) Leica M11 | Leica Q2 | Sony α7RV

A popular Lāčplēsis Day tradition since 1988 is placing candles on and by the wall of Riga Castle. The name of the memorial day comes from the protagonist of the Latvian national epic, Lāčplēsis. ------- A7 II | Helios 77m-4 (50mm f/1.8) | Tilt M42 – Sony E adapter ![]() ![]() ![]() Beautiful. idsurfer Cream of the Crop More info | Nov 13, 2016 10:30 | #26953 Well, I'm compelled to share my enthusiasm with folks here on the forum.....I've just preordered the a6500 and a nice little set of primes. Sold all my dslr gear. Very excited to be moving into the mirrorless game. While a bit of a downgrade from the 5d3, the a6500 looks very promising. I've poured over many, many photos taken with the a6300 and the primes I've selected and have no doubt that I'll be more than happy with the IQ from the set up I've chosen. I am soooo happy to be getting into a small kit as I found the 5d3 was left behind on nearly all my adventures this past year. While the iPhone 7d oes pretty good for what it is, it obviously doesn't meet my photo enthusiast needs. To that end, I look forward to sharing some images here in the Sony threads! Cory

idsurfer Cream of the Crop More info | Thanks! I'm going with he Sigma 19mm f/2.8, Sony FE 28mm f/2, and Sony E 50mm 1.8. While a little short on the longer end, this should get me close to where I was with my 35/85 pairing on the 5d3. All have very nice examples on flickr when paired with a6xxx bodies. Of course it's all relative but I can't believe how cheap the lenses are! Cory
