you know what's helped me, a whistle. Whenever my kids and I go to large places where they can get lost, we bring whistles, and not just run of the mill stuff, like life saving super screechers. I've got 4 kids to juggle now, and one of them bound to wander off :-P they have a whistle, I have a whistle, and we have an understanding on when to use it and what to do when lost. It's extremely loud, so I dont allow them to use it in general, only for emergencies.

my daughter would use that on purpose...just because she wants to...having only one we have yet to have an issue where she gets lost...in fact, in public, she doesn't like it if she can't see us or lay a hand on us...she stays close by...which is good...

Just placed an order for the X100F. First time with Fuji. Lets see what it'll be like.

I'm very tempted

I think I need to unsubscribe to this thread ;-)a......I just dove head first into the Sony APS-c system. Honestly, I didn't research it too much. Prob should have looked into the Fuji system a little more. I think the a6500 is overpriced for what it is. I'm becoming more and more pleased with the images. End result is not the issue. Lens selection works for me for the most part. I'm just not totally stoked on the user experience. I personally think the LCD is a joke. It;s basically unless in brighter light and just not enough detail to critically examine images in playback. Too small. I'd also really love to be able to use the touchscreen to navigate the menu and scroll though/pinch zoom images while viewing. No doubt I'll get killed if I decide to switch thing up in the next year or so.

EDIT - The LCD should be fully articulating as well. Would add to the user experience.

Although I'll not be routinely be using it for what it is I will say the AF is superb on the a6500.....and excellent AF was of the essence when considering my switch. In decent light is doesn't miss. It's a great tool with an end product but the overall user experience is not the best. Oh well, I'm stuck....first world problems ;-)a

This bible was a Christmas present given to me by my grandmother in 1959. I was 14 years old and she was 75 years old at the time.

Can't remember if a6500 is the only APS-c with IBIS but, yeah....I forgot about that. It seems pretty handy.

For me I am glad I upgraded even though I am pissed the 6500 is better than my 6300 by far because of the IBIS.... but dont let anyone not want to buy my 6300 because I said that.

Yeah wish the X100F introduced an tilt screen. For me I couldnt go to an X100 series camera as my primary but as a secondary its great, it was just the AF issue for me previously. The intro price in the UK for the X100F is £1249 which is steep!. Im thinking of waiting until its out for 6 months and see if I can pick up a grey market one. The urge to pre-order is strong though!

The tilt screen was one of my pros for A7 > X-E2. It's not until you haven't got one, that you realise how useful it is!! :)

Thanks but that stuff is just TOO DAMN GOOD..... I need to know from peeps that are more my level lol. Crap that flickr page is nice.

Ok so I have decided to move the 90 2.8 macro and 55 1.8 out of my bag and look at this Batis 85 for the replacement. I have the venerable but solid Vivitar 90 2.5 macro which is small an manually capable and it sits in the spare bag in the jeep if it is needed so macro is not ultimately important on that 90.

Where i am going is either a switch out of the 70-300 with a used Lens Rentals 70-400 g2 and LAE3 adapter or keeping the 70-300 and adding a Tamron 150-600 v2 A mt when it comes out in the spare bag in the Jeep for when I am after long reach wildife.

I need something semi long that is more artsty than the 90 if those long reach lenses are above that F4. That 70-200 2.8GM is nice but spendy and hit or miss bokah for me so gah.... back to the Gassed confused world
