right basically you doub le your fps being used..

the slower the more motion blur , till you get to the point where itll look like frame loss issues ..
and go more than double eventually will get you a very jittery look , like everything has had too much coffee

whoops you're right. I read the message from my videographer friends wrong. I used 2x the focal length the whole trip lol...the math worked out since I shot most of my video on a 35mm and 24P, but I do have so footage at 1/400 because I shot at 200mm lol.

especially when you do a slow motion, you need to double the fps or more if light permits.

Carlo, awesome video from your Disney trip. Your family is beautiful!

Sunrise I mentioned earlier today captured with the Batis 18. I intentionally left the land silhouetted since the real star was the sky and the tree in the center.

Looking good Vinz. Which model did you get? Do you use a pan/tilt head with the slider and is yours motorized?

I got the Wing 3 only but I tested it with the A7RII+2470GM and it's still works.

No it's not motorized. I just used my existing ball head. I tested one of my pan/tilt head but the handle gets in the way of the Wing. I'll try to find an extender so I can raise my pan/tilt video head.

Thanks Alfredo!

Really nice image. I like the ground being silhouetted. Lifting the shadows often distracts from the focal point of the image, so I think it was the right call.

More practice with the Lox 21

https://www.mediafire.com/folder/foiy6ndkr8p6c/Loxia_21 (external link)

The lens flare one might horrify some but I tend to like it. I've called it "Heavenly Light". All four were taken in low/late afternoon winter golden sunlight. Two are full size and the other two are 2048px long edge.

TBH I've no idea if these are view only or if any old tom & dick can download them so I'd appreciate a heads up from the forum members on this as I've had issues in the past where people nicked images and one person won a competition with one despite the copyright being still embedded :-(

pretty sure any one can down load images from here but they are a pretty low res so i don't see any one stealing them and winning any events with a low res image, anything is possible though. people are pretty resourceful.

We leave for Florida in a week so I'm packing my bag now. This is me going overboard as usual.

Picked up the peak design everyday backpack 20L...all of this plus my 15inch macbook pro fit into the back nicely. I brought my think tank retrospective last time and while I prefer messenger bags when actively shooting....lugging messenger bags around for long periods of time is tough on the back. Plus boarding cramped planes and public transportation with a messenger bag that sits to the side is a PITA.

I also have the everyday messenger and never fell in love with it. I'll be selling it soon but I really like the everyday backpack. The cool thing about the bag is that it really favors accessing gear from the side...most backpacks I've used have only a small side access opening and involve having to put the backpack down to access most of your gear. This is sort of like a hybrid between a backpack and a messenger bag. I actually put peak design anchor links onto these hoops on the sides of the bags so I can attach the peak design sling and wear the bag cross body like a messenger bag when I'm actively shooting. The placement of those hoops and the handles on the side of the bag make me think that they intended for people to do this. If you cant already tell, I'm a peak design junkie. They think of everything and their stuff really has improved my workflow when shooting in the field.
