the lcd IS the main reason i cant do and the A6## cameras.. had an a6000 , thats the
#1 reason why i sold it...
everytime they came out with the next A6## camera thats the first thing i would listen for in reviews ..

it drove me nuts ..

may be eating my words..

well before anything more is said.. i change my mind like 100 times a day.. lol,, so..

but i think as much as i'm trying to resist , i will be getting an a6500
i've been on the verge of going fuji..
well first off i'll say.. i'm happy with the a7sii , its not going anywhere.. fulfills my video needs , and its a decent stills camera.. but its AF can be funny , and 12mp .. i can tell the difference even compared to the 5d3 which i sold , and the 5d3 is no megapixel queen

so i've been looking for something thats better for stills and mirrorless... good for portraits but quick enough for street shooting and events
i was getting into M4/3 but that limited ISO abilities .. ugh.. 1600iso was the limit really ..
so yeah Fuji..
i'm hearing /seeing that skin tones are much better than with sony .. the xt2 with that joystick for focus point selection.. IQ seems very good.. very good quality lens selection.. i was all set to go.. either the xt2 or that new xt20 with a 23mm f2 to start with ..but

the problem there is , now i'd be dividing available funds between two systems-?

ive sold all my M4/3 gear.. sold 5d3 and my beloved 24-70 2.8 mkii

i think for now , i d like to stick to one system where everything is compatible..
(well the t4i and efs lenses arent going anywehre.. resale wouldnt get much anyway and the girlfriend still uses it occasionally.. plus sentimental attachment .. it was my first "real" camera)
i would say the a7ii just to stay FF , but i also want a quick AF ,, and i'm assuming the AF on the a6500 is much better

well thats the thought for now:-)

I thought I'd post a little inspiration for the latest challenge on the "Sony Weekly Photo" Thread. I hope to see everyone else's images soon. ;-)a

the only Sony camera that has better AF then A6500 is probably the A99II.

u want stupid crazy fast go back to m4/3. the olympus em1 m2 is sick,i just pulled the trigger on this bad boy with the 12-100 f4 pro lens to get full use of the image stabilizations which is just sick by the way. in every review it eats the a6500 for breakfast. they say its speed is comparable to a 1dx or a d5. this thing is fast. 60fps fast.

with 6.5 stops of stabilization u won't be shooting any higher than 1600 anyways. u can hand hold this bad boy for 5 seconds with iso 100. u would only need higher than iso 1600 if u are shooting in the dark or u are shooting fast shutter. iso looks very good on the new em1. i agree m4/3 is known for poor iso but i would seriously have a look at the new em1. reviews are so good i pulled the trigger and i am cheap haha. i luv my sony and i won't ever get rid of it but i am hoping and pretty confident the new em1 will replace my 70d and of course em5.

@ rantercsr I'm really getting into the grove with my a6500. The AF is really awesome. My least favorite part about it is the small LCD! Ha, I'm not helping!

I have been meaning to get a shot of my lenses for some time now. This may be of interest to some. Not pictured here is my Canon 70-200L II f2.8 lens. I merged two different images here. I took one frame with the Loxia 85. Then another with the FE 55. That way I could get all my primes in one shot. I included the descriptions on the bottom for clarity. I would like to add a 35mm prime, a 24mm tilt-shift, and perhaps a zoom like the 24-70 GM in the future.

I ordered them from widest to narrowest. Lens hoods were left on. The Tokina macro lens has the CY-E mount adapter on. It's amazing to me how compact the Loxia 21 is and still a high performing lens. You can see how much taller the Loxia 85 is by comparison with the lens hood on. With the lens hood reversed, it's as tall as the Loxia 21 with its hood on.

Thanks for sharing. It's always interesting to compare lens sizes. I also shot two exposures and swapped lenses when I photographed all mine but exchanged 35mm lenses to do that. I'll have to redo mine someday since I've added the Sony FE 85 f1.4 GM to my Sony lens collection.

Thanks Gene. I didn't realize you had the 85 GM. Do you have any Canon lenses left in your kit?

Yeah, I actually have several. I've just been too lazy to sell any of them. I still have the Canon 17-40L, 24-105L, 70-200L f4 IS, the 100-400L and the 85 f1.8. Oh, I also have the Sigma 35 f1.4 Art lens too. Know anyone that might be interested in buying any of them? Right now, the only Canon lens I'd like to keep is the 100-400, at least until Sony comes out with an equivalent lens...that I can afford.

(I still have my Canon 5D3 too)

Wow! It may be time for Spring cleaning Gene. Haha.

Yeah I would keep the 100-400L.
