I hope no one minds me posting videos here occasionally. It is a Sony camera after all! :-)

I used the opportunity to try out shooting in 4K this morning while running a quick errand. I wanted to try different locations for the camera too. I decided not to add any music or narration since this is just a short trial run.

And this was from the older model HDR-AS200 Action Cam shot last January 2016 Drive to Donners Lake. Can't wait to try the new one for a drive.

Some clips are from my wife's iphone i incorporated.

Frickin Tamron 150-600 is HUGE .... .HUGE.... GIGANTIC!!!!

What have I done.

ya i agreed picked one up a few months ago i got it for my 70d mostly but thought it was great it worked on a full frame camera, its pretty useless on the sony though, af is useless slow with 2 adapters. its pretty heavy to hand hold for much times think i will sell it as i am selling the 70d and this lens will be useless. i may try the ef to m/4/3 adapter with af,its supposed to be faster, on my new em1m11.

Yeah, but I don't like it. Don't know why Optics Pro is so bad at adjusting highlights/shadows...it just doesn't work as well as C1 or LR for recovering and getting the histogram in good shape without wrecking the image quality. It's got a lot of really cool tools, but I dislike the tonal editing so much that I'm done with that software.

The prime noise reduction is great, but not quite as awesome as they market it.

Agree entirely paid for DXO v10 then V11 elite but wrote it off. View point was good but I've got everything covered now with C1. Come to that I bought and used LR for a long time but kept looking for better so ended up with C1 and CS6 for everything (well Nik plugin for a few things).

Anyone use DXO Optics? Version 9 is free.

do u have a link to a free mac version. i am wondering if it will open the new em1m11 raw files. my light room doesn't and i have to convert which is another time consuming step.

Well I may never get a flickr image explored as I just don't really play flickr that much...mainly just post to share with friends, family, and POTN. But....I did get a picture selected to be used as the "cover photo" of the "Sony a6500/a6300/a6000 - Best shots" group! My ripper skier wife is famous...at least till they change the cover photo! ;-)a

interesting cold weather issues today, there was hot air ballons taking off from a frozen lake i wanted to shoots brought my new em1m11 and 12-100f4 and the sony a7 with sigma 150-600 with viltrox adapter.
the temp outside was -14c about 6 degrees f. i was happily shooting a few slowly taking off for about 10 min and the a7 started acting up,the lcd would flicker and change from evf to lcd while i was looking thru evf. it wouldn't respond to any changes either, so i put it away and used the freeze proof em1.
was happily shooting with that for a good 20 min and everything was fine but my battery flashed almost empty. i was done shooting anyways. when i got home and warmed up to view the images the em1 battery showed 30% after it warmed up. i was happy the cam performed well in the cold as i will be using it in the north where i work but not happy the battery can only last nearly half as long as it should. it preformed much better than the a7 but for a weather proof camera i thought the battery would be better than that. just sharing my findings.

Ahi Tuna.

Smothered in olive oil then grilled. Served with a wasabi-soy dipping sauce and a little melted butter. Topped with thinly sliced green onion.

You should try my salad tuna. We call it "Kinilaw"

It's wash and cook with vinegar only.

Wow, it sure has been quiet this morning. Everyone must have bought all the gear they could ever want now!!

Here's a before/after edit on a photo I took of a friend yesterday. She wanted me to push it even further.
