So, I think the corners on my CV12 are fine...I just need to pay more attention to focus, focus peaking made it look sharp...could have been operator errors, probably was...need to do some tripod testing this weekend, maybe I can sneak away for a sunset...

I wish the 12mm had a filter thread...

ok, dumb question amnesty...why are they called CV lenses...

This seems like a good solution for filter use on the VC 12.

Yeah, I've struggled with mine as well. I had a really nice copy of the VC 15 but I stupidly dropped it one day and now it's decentered and basicall unuseable, soft on one side.I've basically given up on trying to get it repaired.

Apparently Fred Miranda is getting an evaluation copy of the new Laowa 15mm f2 from Venus Optics. Should be interesting results. Glad to see Venus Optics offering to do this. It would be an awesome astro lens and cityscape lens for night shooting.

Great clouds Gene. I wouldn't mind having a 16-35. Sure would be versatile for travel.

I need to get more sleep. :) i got this crazy question to camera manufacturers.

Why don't they design cameras like a PC. Which you can DIY and choose what processor, sensor, shutter etc and assemble it ourself? and if there's new sensor, you can just simply swap it.

hahaha time for me to sleep. driving tomorrow. goodnight.

Batis 18

Nice clouds this morning. I was hoping for a more spectacular sunrise but only managed a bit of color.

Nice shot Vinz, I love the Rokkor 58 wish I shot it more than I do. What version of the Rokkor are you using?
There were 3 versions over the years and I've owned two of the three, the first version with the radioactive element and the last version with the waffle style focus ring. I always preferred the first PG version with the flat metal focus ring but the second version with the focus ring elevations are pretty nice as well. The rubber waffle focus ring on my current version is loose and I'm trying to figure out how to repair it at the moment.

The size of these voigtlander lenses and the loxia is pretty much perfect I reckon. I was drawn to the Sony system due to iq and size and whilst the batis lenses are right up there with the best canon L lenses I've used im loving the CV and loxia sized lenses more. My kit of cv15, lox 21, FE28 and FE55 is so powerful and so small overall it's amazing. It's early days yet for the lox and cv but so far so good.

Edit - my 100-300 and 85 are obviously not fitting that mould but these are not daily carries for me so I'm ok with that

This stumped me today. I was at Edward Tang's office (Cheetah Stands) and he asked me to change my white balance setting to 5200 Kelvin. Guess what? I didn't know how! I fixed the photo's in LR.
