Thanks guys. I slept in and arrived about 15 mins after I was planning. When I was parking the car there was steam coming up from the water, by the time I got set up it was only happening in the distance. Gutted

Next time, don't park. Abandon instead

Nice with though mate.

The 15 is awesome!!! I may actually like it more than the 21 subconsciously as it's always the one I grab if it's between the two (loving the loxia though). Sun stars are great on the voigtlander and I'm finding them addictive too

Where are you at in your plans regarding the Loxia 21 and Batis lenses? Are you selling the Batis, or keeping both?

I'm selling the a6300 and the B18 and B25. I've been meaning to do it for weeks but just not got round to it yet but they are definitely going. Loving the smallness of the cv15, lox21, FE28 and FE55

Have you noticed a significant image quality improvement with the Loxia over Batis 18 or 25? Sorry to pepper you with questions, but I'm trying to think through things on my end. I may (big emphasis on 'may') buy a Loxia 21mm and see what I think. I just have this nagging sense that I owe it to myself to get the Loxia.

thanks, I'm kind of afraid that might happen if I owned both loxia 21 and 15. as good as loxia 21 is, the 15mm is definitely a more preferable focal length.

I feel like 21 is still within the realm of traditional, that I cant augment the foreground, however 15 can definitely do that. With 10, I can shoot straight forward and catch my shadows on the floor :-P

The voigtlander sizes are super appealing though, I just LOVE mounting and shooting with the 10. I'm trying to weigh my options and not caught with overwhelming myself with gear. The money I have now, can go toward the A7riii if it's really really good, who knows?

Wish you weren't across the pond. I would be interested in the B25.

Short answer no. Long answer the loxia and voigtlander have amazing sun stars. The loxia, voigtlander and batis lenses are all amazing and really sharp. I have done a side by side with the loxia 21 and batis 25 and genuinely can't tell the difference. I see a lot of people writing that they like the rendering of the loxia lenses but pixel peeping with the batis equivalents I just don't see the difference. The loxia is smaller and has better sun stars and that has pretty much been the deciding factor for me. Plus the 21 allows me to replace two lenses and re-use the money for other lenses. Before the loxia the batis lenses were my favourite lenses ever even including sigma art and canon L but now the loxia and voigtlander are my firm faves

Just picked up from eBay “mint” or “near mint” condition Vario Sonnar 35-70 f3.4 and 80-200 f4, both in C/Y mount. Looking forward to see what I can do with them. :-)

Thanks Alfredo. I have another shot of Poppies I really like but I missed focus a bit and focus is not on the flowers closest to the lens...

Here's a different kind of photo from a few days ago.

A California Scrub Jay overlooking his domain from atop a nearby tree. shot using my Sony a6300 + Canon 100-400L lens.
