Thanks, Gene.

AF is very fast with my 6D, and a bit less so with the a7rii and MC-11. It's accurate though, and quick enough for my purposes, so all's good.

Good luck with the Oly, looks like a nice piece of kit.

if i was going to keep the 150-600 i would try the mc11, not sure it would be much different than the 2 adapters i have, i dont think the original a7 does well with adapters, i have heard the techart one worked well on the original a7 though but build quality was garbage,

Nice shots Vinz. How are you dodging and burning? Any other skin retouching on these? I'm finding it tough to dial in my white balance and matching color in the face to the hands for example.

yes there's a minor skin retouching. I use two curves adjustment layers for my dodging and burning.

for white balance i highly recommend doing custom white balance when shooting. i'm using expodisc. it get's you close and makes your color toning easy.

to even out skin color,

1. create a blank layer
2. change the blending mode to color
3. select a soft brush at 100% opacity and about 10% flow
4. Sample the color your want to copy and brush once or a few times on the area you want to change. mask if necessary. if it's too much, change the layer's opacity.

i used to almost make every skin area the same color but then somebody cc me that it looks colorized. So now i make them close but not perfectly the same.

hope that helps.

Not sure where I should ask this question so I'll just put it up here cause this is the only thread I follow routinely....You folks certainly know more about gear than I do so here it goes.

Considering a wide angle lens for a6500. Looking at the Rokinon 12mm f/2 for APS-c for ~$400. The Samyang is ~$330. Aren't these basically the same lens with different labeling.....Rokinon vs Samyang? Is there a reason I should buy Rokinon over a Samyang?

Thanks

Good info! Do you have the Samyang or Rok?
Thanks

so, damaged my loxia 21 today! It was in my pocket (which I never do!) and I had the voigtlander 15 on the camera on a shoulder strap. Managed to somehow bump into a wall and now the lens has a little indent on the metal just below the blue mount seal. Hopefully its not done anything inside, will test tomorrow

That sucks Eddie! Hopefully it's just cosmetic.
