The subdued greens are so wonderful. Great image!

It's a super minor thing, but the lens flare at top worries me somewhat. The flare itself is quite nice and adds positively to the image - no issue there. What concerns me is how it's cut off before reaching the border. It's as if a lens flare was copied in as a different layer but didn't get aligned with the top.
So, the thing about it that concerns me is that's just the sort of thing I'd expect from a Canon-mount lens with an adapter. I used to get bad internal reflections from the metabones, but the glare from the internal reflection would always be clipped before met the border. I didn't expect to see that behavior from a native lens. From an editing standpoint it might be good to just crop off the top just enough so the flare extends to the border. Just a thought.

So it looks like a digital artifact actually...the other shots before and after it don't show it with the same framing. I wonder if it has something to do with EFC?

Thanks for all of the info Vinz. Your photos look great. I use an older RX10 right now for just knocking around, mainly because of the reach of the lens. But this is something to definitely consider when wanting something even smaller.

You're welcome well. I was planning to get the smaller Sony HX90V 30X zoom with 1/2.3 sensor but i thought i may not be happy with the image quality especially at the telephoto end.

David A - completely off topic but my wife wants to buy a Prius and I am completely anti-electric cars (probably Due to ignorance) but as far as I remember you own one. What's your thoughts on it? Any issues-hassles with it or is it fine? Does it have enough oomph?

I don't know anyone else with one and just want to check she is not going down a bad road (excuse the pun).

I’m not David...but, I do have a friend that has had 2 of them. He still has both. He bought his first for his wife, who travels a LOT for work! They now have over 300K miles on it. He keeps it for just local running around. I think he has over 100K on the newer one. Has never had any issues, just regular maintenance.

I have a plug in hybrid, Prius. When you need umph, the gas motor turns on, otherwise it cruises in electric when possible.

Absolutely love only going to the gas station once every other month :-)

edit: prior to that, I had the nissan leaf, fully electric. Loved it too, but it was risky letting my wife drive it, since she was too lazy to charge it, so was afraid of letting her drive on empty. it gave a practical 60 mile per charge, so you had to plan stuff out.
