don't forget both extenders, with 2x you got 200-800 lens, and will still autofocus on a9

When I tested the 70-200 G master and 2x TC I did not like the results i.e. the donut bokah Notice the double circles to the left of the beak. That and messy backgrounds. For $550 bucks. Which is within $80 bucks of what I bought the V1 Tammy 150-600 for. I will say the 2xTC did not affect focus speed on the 6500 it was insane fast and accurate

Oh yeah I have no issue with 20fps and of course I can turn the frame rate down..Just not going to pay a $1,500 premium for a feature I'm not going to use.

Personally, I don't see the 20fps as the only upgraded feature of that body. I'd like to think (all conjecture at this point) that the weather sealing has been upgraded: we've seen that the ergonomics have been improved (the A7 ergos are atrocious), the AF system has been greatly improved, the battery life has been significantly improved, it can now hold two memory cards, it has a stupid fast shutter speed, silent shutter action has been improved, it clears the buffer much faster (supposedly allowing instant access to the card after shooting), no EVF blackout, faster EVF refresh rate, the resolution is right in the sweet spot for event and retail portrait shooting, etc. If you don't feel that any of those things are a worthwhile upgrade over the A7 then that's your prerogative. Personally, I can easily see serious amateurs as well as professional wedding, event, and retail portrait shooters picking up this camera as a do-it-all body. If I didn't already have a body that fits that bill I'd consider it myself. If they release an A9r I may very well make the full jump to Sony.

I can see myself getting one for the reasons you listed, been thinking about the a7ii for the longest time as a secondary body, but want something more polished.

I'm patient enough to wait it out. Will continue working my lens collection...

I say get the Canon, resale value is great. Shot with it for several years, sold with no loss, maybe even a gain

Yongnuo is one of my sponsors, so I don't pay anything for the lens.

Here it is, I am super impressed. They have managed to nail the build quality and USM! two things that were missing from their early clones.

Adorama and B&H have it on Pre-order for $160-200

I've been talking to them to create lenses from scratch. Since I have some ideas that Canon and Nikon dont currently offer.

A lot of people dont know this but Canon got started the same way. Their first cameras were Leica clones(with Nikon lenses). Later they ended up creating their own cameras that were just as good. I'm hoping Yongnnuo will be the same some day.

P.S. Wow autofocus for 200 i might pre-order one.

My friend who dropped a 2470GM also has a canon mount tamron 2470f2.8, i let him tried my commlite adapter and was very happy. AF is instant. No eye AF but face detection works.

Obviously the other features are a nice upgrade, however, the a9 is designed, and most importantly PRICED to compete with the likes of the 1DXII, and I just don't find that it's worth the money if you're not fully utilizing the feature-set.

I'm personally holding out for an update the a7II, which will likely incorporate many of the features of the A9, without the A9 price.

The a7rII does everything I really need it to, and will likely by my main body regardless due to it's sensor. It's just on sluggish side when shooting events.

Edit:. To me the a99II is the perfect wedding/event camera....Just wish it were an fe-mount camera!

does the a9 shoot the 20fps in electronic shutter or manual shutter, on the em1 m2 theres 4 choices for burst, high and low and high and low with elec shutter, elec shutter is of course much faster,

Ask B&H to price match adorama and you can get it even less, $160.

will have gallery up tomorrow, I rented a Canon 100mm F/2 to compare. Waiting on that to come in so I can do side by side comparisons.

This is a straight 100% Canon clone, so to switch it over to Sony it would take a lot.

I will ask to see if they have any Sony stuff planned in the works.

if it's not dirt cheap, not worth it, as you can get a second hand sony for 450-500. SY has to come in half retail even to compete, since it will lose a bunch in resale value. I paid 450 for my copy and at that price, I likely wont lose much if I decide to sell. Cant see myself ever selling it, it's my goto pocket system!
