for mastering shadowing. buy one of adrian sommeling's tutorial. I have it. he's the best in the business when talking about shadowing and composition in general.

Davinci Resolve 14...this looks like a massive update. This is the best app for color grading slog footage, but now they've made it 10x faster with tons of new features and improvements. Pretty exciting stuff - amazing that it's free software, except for people who need network rendering and other high power stuff (I don't). Resolve 12.5 was a pain to work with (painfully slow scrubbing and timeline editing), looks like they've fixed all that.

i think that's what i have in mine. press the center button once and use the shutterspeed and aperture wheel to move the AF points around.

how?

when you click the shutter botton, does it turn off/goes away?

On a6300/6500 you can set the center button to toggle it, and it remembers the setting, even when you turn the camera off.

I remember a few of you guys are using the Peak Design Everyday Backpack, how's it holding up so far? Still trying to find a decent enough backpack, thought I had found one with the Think Tank Trifecta 8 that I ordered from Amazon, but they mistakenly sent me the 10 instead and I had to send it back. Thought about the Wandrd Prvke 21 but the bundle that I want is out of stock and not available for a few more weeks and I don't feel like paying in advance for something that wont ship for a few weeks.

i been trying to learn the 12.5 version, but since I didn't get that far will go with the new one.

This really impressive piece of software, can't believe you can use it for free.

I really need to learn how to do video better.

Vinz that tilt shift blur technique is really useful. I've used it a couple of times when I want even more background blur then I shot in the field....Particularly for shots I stopped down to get more of my subject in focus.

I like mine a lot. It's become my main gig back because it really is easy to access your gear while shooting with the backpack and less strain than a messenger bag

I read about the new version the other day and it sounds awesome.

Don't forget Hitfilm 4 Express too as not only an editor but as a compositor like After Effects as well. The good news is that it's free also.
