I read about the new version the other day and it sounds awesome.

Don't forget Hitfilm 4 Express too as not only an editor but as a compositor like After Effects as well. The good news is that it's free also.

does it have a mac version?

P.S.: Nevermind i got it. There is.

Glad you found they do have a MAC version. While the free Hitfilm 4 Express version isn't as powerful as their Pro version, it does do an amazing job for tracking, etc. I've upgraded to the full Pro version because it works with Vegas.

That's in Utah right? I've never been but would love to. I'm a bit down because I see beautiful images on my IG feed from some amazing locations that I will probably never visit. Need to get past the jealously and just need to focus on locations around me.

how?

when you click the shutter botton, does it turn off/goes away?

On a6300/6500 you can set the center button to toggle it, and it remembers the setting, even when you turn the camera off.

Assign your center button to "Focus Settings"

Just click it once then you can move the point around using the shutterspeed and aperture wheel. and yah it will disappear when you click the shutter and the AF point will stay in place where you moved it.

Vinz he is referring to the toggle that you get on the a6300/6500. It can't be done on the a7rii. It allows you to toggle on focus select so you can use d pad to select focus spot, take a photo and the focus spot selector stays active so you can go straight back to moving it with the d pad. Unlike the a7rii where you have to press the centre button each time before moving with the d pad

I like having it on Standard because it does the same, but when I'm in wide area, pressing the button becomes lock on AF, which I'll also use from time to time.

yeah, that not the same thing

a6300/a6500 allows you to toggle, basically turning your d-pad into focus point selection tool, you press it once, and it stays that way until you press the center button again.

you an turn the camera on and off, and it still remembers in what setting you left it.

I like mine a lot. It's become my main gig back because it really is easy to access your gear while shooting with the backpack and less strain than a messenger bag

20L or 30L?

Anyone looking for a Loxia? I am going to switch to the zoom for a little bit more versatility. I'm going to list it, but thought I would put feelers out here first.

I just did canyonlands which is about 2 hours south. My buddy Frank was up there the week before getting great shots although he said there is a lot of roadwork and they have put restriciions on entering and leaving the park so just do research on when you go for what the status is. When he was there last week it was only open 7a to 7p.

I remember a few of you guys are using the Peak Design Everyday Backpack, how's it holding up so far? Still trying to find a decent enough backpack, thought I had found one with the Think Tank Trifecta 8 that I ordered from Amazon, but they mistakenly sent me the 10 instead and I had to send it back. Thought about the Wandrd Prvke 21 but the bundle that I want is out of stock and not available for a few more weeks and I don't feel like paying in advance for something that wont ship for a few weeks.

Hey, you are still searching for the perfect backpack? Well, my hunt for a backpack has come to an end with the PDEB20L (at least for the time being..). I really like how it looks and even functionally works well for me. I have downsized all my gear, so most or all of my gear now fit into this sleek 20L bag.
