Graduation session today.

xplor 600 got a lot of use today. It really can overpower the sun in HSS

a9 will be killer for those motion subjects. I always agree that everyone has different needs and wants, and we need to strategize our budgets accordingly.

Get the 100-400mm GM as well? I have high hopes for the lens, but disappointed the a9 is stealing nearly all the talk...the big youtubers only briefly mention it amidst all the a9 gushing.

If I had another $2500...sure...will likely start out with the 70-200 f4 and an extender...the motorsports/sports stuff I shoot is not for magazines or anything so the super fast glass is not really needed.

Im going to London tomorrow for 2 weeks (first time there so excited) but when I return I am getting them listed. Im currently considering the Contax 35-70 to round out my landscape kit. Also, guy has a zeiss 24-70 2.8 that needs an adapter to use with the a7r but is only asking like $800 and its basically brand new
Is this lens worth it or is adapting just kinda annoying? I had the sigma adapter and it was OK just kinda annoying tbh

So how is Sony with regards to firmware updates? Is it completely unrealistic to hope for an update that would increase max shutter speed from 1/4000 to 1/8000 on the a6500? The slow max SS is kinda annoying.

There's a lot people don't understand about mirrorless cameras...particularly if you've never used one for a prolonged amount of time. Couple that with ownership bias and a lot of nonsense is said.....

Max shutter speed is dictated by the capabilities of the shutter assembly itself. So, unless they also replace the shutter within the camera, a firmware update wouldn't be able to make it any faster.

No just selling the B18 and B25 as I prefer the CV15 and lox 21 combo

Likelihood is slim to none. The a6000 bodies has always been 1/4000 SS. No prior track record of any firmware to update max SS.
