Weddings are the absolute most stressful thing a photographer will photograph but it is hands-down the most rewarding. You just have to make sure you charge accordingly for the amount of headache your receive. I love them and I honestly wish I shot more of them. The fact that you get to give somebody photographs that they will keep for the rest of their life is great. Normal portrait sessions and crap like that are great but those aren't the photos they will take with them to the grave

Not to mention they are only stressful when you first start getting into them. Once you get your groove figured out and you fine-tune your process, everything just falls in the place. You'll have some days to where weddings are a disaster and everything goes wrong but just like anything else in life.

I want a Batis 135. Looks stunningly sharp wide open and weighs a lot less than the f/1.8 or f/2 models.

I don't quite know what to make of it (personal growth as a photographer?), but the Batis 85mm has been my favorite lens from the day I purchased it...and I don't even shoot portraits!

On another note, I came across three of my fave birds today...that 100-400mm would have been really nice. As appealing as the Batis is to me, the price is the off-putting fatal flaw, making 100-400mm far more likely for me.

I found myself looking at Canon 100-400s today...

Really really hoping the Sony 100-400mm is as good...I like that it weighs a half pound less than Canon's (or 3/4 pound less with the metabone adapter).

I wonder how the a9 will work with adapted canon lenses (not that I want an a9) but if it drastically improved functionality it would open up so many more choices like the 100-400ii. I appreciate that can be used on current sony bodies but what I mean is I wonder if the a9 will offer flawless focus at all focal lengths

does your State Farm policy allow you to use your gear as a business...I had a policy for a while that was a personal policy, but if I was using the gear on a paid gig, I was not covered.

I need to get a new policy...SF has one...I just need to change my policy. I let the other one expire at the end of 2016.

Did not check. I had it under personal but was using it for business when I dropped it. They didnt ask. So your right that probably is a big asterisk next to my comment
