High ISO shots are the thing I crave most from the a7R II. Really want to see how the BSI sensor helps out.

The lens' IS will stabilize pitch and yaw. IBIS will stabilize roll, x, and y. I think that's the scenario when using a Sony OSS lens. With non-Sony lenses, I doubt that the IBIS and proprietary lens IS would coordinate so nicely.

Really want to see how the BSI sensor helps out. I forgot about the high iso performance - this happens to be set at 6400. No sharpening, no noise reduction, all settings at zero on Lightroom; camera calibration set to camera standard and white balance corrected. Closeup is 100% crop. Not only that the Rii can work at 5000-6000 ISO but that 8000 and 10,000 clean up so well=GAME CHANGER for such a huge sensor. Jap. im set to get one myself. I need this camera as it simply is the best thing that happened to mirrorless since inteoduction of the A7 & A7R. Good that i have no pressure, so i will eventually get one off the bay in a few months when David A. Is going to sell his because he likes the 5DS more Sony A7RII | Sony A7S

Where I live is seemingly constant rain/cloud/fog/snow/ice/sleet-well you get the picture. We went up here the last 3 evenings and socked in, but tonight not a great Sunset but at least we saw one! Sad new. Poof launched the Drone and 30 seconds into flight it developed a mind of it's own=GONE. flickr

I find that with those bodies, I'm comfortable up to 6400, it's not the noise I'm concerned about, but the destruction of color. Carlo's shot of his daughter is really clean, however that's just one shot and maybe really good processing. I find it difficult to recover from bad colors, the 6D really shines in that regard. Mr. Arbogast loves (my observation) the most advanced/cutting edge...soon enough he'll realize he's got a huge sensor from olden days flickr
