I was out shooting at the bamboo forest in Prattville, Alabama early Sunday a.m. I setup with my A7R2/90mm 2.8 macro on this bamboo shoot with a dew drop hanging on for life. The rendering here is almost like the RAW file, just some tweaks on color and exposure. I shot this at different angles and distances but I’m beginning to like this more than the closeups. What do you think?

I just made the connection between the two identical screen names between here and FM...in my best Homer Simpson...DOH!

Thanks everyone for the advice. I was able to use an amazon coupon to get the FE 85 lens for $580. I couldn't justify the extra cost of the Batis, even used. I'm looking forward to using it for photos of my son this summer.

Awesome perspective Eddie! I would love to visit London one day. It has some spectacular architecture.

As I've been walking about I've actually been thinking how much you would like it as there's so many amazing buildings. I've just not had the chance to spend the time to shoot them properly and I'm also not that comfortable with shooting architecture although trying to get better

This is my first time here, loving it

I spent all of last week in London to attend my daughter's post graduate graduation ceremony from Imperial College. I had been to London a couple of times so I knew how busy the city can be but I never expected it to be as busy as it was in the month of May. Our hotel was located right accross from the Parliament buildngs next to Westminster bridge and during the day it was shoulder to shoulder on the bridge, you could barely move! The best time I found to shoot I found was later at night or very early in the morning, I was a little disappointed with all the scaffolding work on the parliament buildings:-(.

eventually...I will learn to trust my understanding of this camera...and its capabilities...to be able to edit from one image and not have to blend...is just awesome...that is all...back to editing...

The third and final image from Bowling Ball Beach. And probably my favorite. There was so much hidden in this file that was not visible SOOC...
